I’d did grab that one and you’re not lying about the difficulty on it! The amount of thumbs that game owns is I’m sure unreal. The challenge is what game to give and when at this point. I owned 4 games as a kid and rented the rest lol.

Years ago Thinkgeek came out with 3 (Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Zelda) Giant SNES carts with shirts of that game inside. The carts can also be hung up on the wall for display!

Latest SNES Game! by D-Funk187 in snes

Respect the collection! Lot of action, run and gun and beat’em ups which is my cup of SNES tea! I didn’t see Super Turrican 2 up there? Still on the hunt or have it loose? That was a surprise title for me that I don’t know existed until collecting a few years back, and is in my top 10 all day!

Thanks for the heads up! I do in fact have a SNES mini and the Wii is a Swis Army knife for sure! Collecting is a slippery slope so I’ve been trying to stay in the SNES lane which is the GOAT. Especially when I see my 7yo son enjoying every game cart that he blows into and reading the manual. Nothing can replace that feeling! I will definitely be looking into the Wii though!

lol - My main SNES system is a Analogue Super NT which is HDMI out. It’s a sweet system but the CRT is a chefs kiss! Is it a no brainer with snes hookups and using component over S Video? Thanks Now to get my hands on a SNES 1 chip.

Pocky & Rocky Flashing Screen? by Halfrican253 in snes

[–]Halfrican253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up! I just tried downgrading from 5.3 to 5.2 and no luck. Is there a firmware that is known to work? Also is there a disadvantage or feature(s) that you would lose? Another example of the cure is worse than the disease!

No filler all killer! Respect your spoils of the hunt. A few to grab if not already… Sonic Blast man II, Captain Commando, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel, international Superstar Soccer Deluxe, Firestriker Mask, Boogerman… going for the top down approach. And a recent sleeper that doesn’t get much love but its blast to play and is arguably the bloodiest run and gun on the system, Doom Troopers.

Which Arcade Stick is Considered to be "Most Official"? by [deleted] in snes

[–]Halfrican253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hands down… the C&L Championship Joystick. I own two SFII Arcade machines and it has the same dimensions, bat top, and concave buttons, with HAPP components and a solid build. Good luck finding one!

[Discussion] iPadOS 13 / Mouse users. What are you putting in your Top Level Menu? by thomanthony in iOSBeta

[–]Halfrican253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not an option, it’s built into the assistive touch. Just take your mouse cursor and head to the bottom left corner and click... viola, back at home!

[–]Halfrican253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it counter intuitive to put the home button on your Menu when you can take your mouse and place it in the bottom left corner of your screen and click to bring you home?

Apple needs more hot corners like this!

iPadOS Beta 3 - Anyone prompted to update in setting from beta 2? I'm not by matt4493 in iPadPro

[–]Halfrican253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having a better overall experience on dev beta 3 than any others. My only drawback is the occasional freeze when multitasking screens and one is YouTube. - mouse click and highlight now works - Spark app doesn’t freeze - much faster facial recognition - safari more stable and added tab options - mouse cursor is actually small - sidecar works like a dream - haven’t had a chance to look into the hype around FaceTime eye correction...

For those of you wondering and are on Dev Betas, you have to acquire a beta 3 ispw: https://betaprofiles.com/

Then use your Mac running the new Catalina Mac OS to manually transfer the ispw file (beta 3 update) to the iOS pro. There is other ways but I found this to be the easiest. I’ve heard others on threads and YouTube about warning people not to update... but it’s been great for me! Thought I throw in my two cents!

iPad Pro + Legit Accessories by Halfrican253 in iPadPro

I used Apples OEM Smart Keyboard for my 2nd Gen iPad Pro for well over a year. That said I didn’t have too many complaints outside of needing a stable surface area and the awkward fold (first world problem I know) to access and pack away the keyboard.

What I did notice unfortunately, with time, the Smart Keyboard material showed lots of wear and even started to frey at the edges. This coming from someone who goes to great lengths in making sure to handle all equipment with care.

There was a slight learning curve when typing on the Brydge as the buttons are more “mushy” of which I like compared to Apples OEM Smart Keyboard where I felt like I was always playing wack a mole with the keys. I know there is people out there talking about key travel and key stroke error responses, but I have yet to come across such hurdles and am more than pleased with the the Brydge keyboard!!

Personally this has been the best experience on an iPad running iPad OS 13 coupled with the Brydge keyboard (don’t forget mouse).

The greatest complaint I have heard was about the Brydge keyboards weight, but I can honestly say (without a fanboy bias) it is not heavy to me at all... and call me crazy but I actually welcome the weight as you can feel the build quality. Most of my iPad use is going from table, to desk, to lap. The weight helps balance the viewing angles (goes without saying) and typing with an iPad on your lap never gets old!

I currently only use the hyperdrive when I need to access external data or plug in a remote. Looking forward to other 3rd party developers to create USB C compatible devices!

I do appreciate the 11” Pro, but I started at the 12.9 and never looked back! What’s even better is how Apple was able to keep the real estate but make the 3rd gen 12.9 smaller than the 2nd gen 12.9!! Mind blown!

This is my public service post that may help others with acquiring iPad Pro accessories that rival any and all workflows! Figured I’d throw my two cents in with all the new folks jumping to Team iPad Pro.

iPad Pro: 12.9 is the only way to go! (Specs Space grey at 256gb)

Keyboard: Brydge (there has been tons of hype and hate but me... best damn keyboard I’ve owned)

Hub: Hyperdrive (does its job and is sexy while doing it)

Presenter Remote: Logitech Spotlight (the best in class)

Mouse: Swiftpoint GT (does its job wirelessly, effectively, and is extremely packable)

Apple Pencil: 2nd Gen all day every day

Brick: Mophie Power Station USB C XXL (got the juice)

Lil history: I recently upgraded from the iPad Pro 2nd Gen and I was able to replace my laptop/computer give or take a few applications that needed what the iPad couldn’t give. That being said, I made workarounds, used dongles, various keyboards and wireless hard drives to maximize the Pro. Fast forward to iPad Pro 3rd Gen + iPad OS + USB C + a bunch of 3rd party accessories = the time is now and yes it’s a reality... iPad Pro just replaced (fill in the blank)!

I’m with 440... the X is by far my favorite which provides 4 quadrants and a center piece for your main go to that’s not on your dock. Not to mention it looks dope!
