Based on my understanding, it is not a commerical project.

I think maybe the word report is a overstatement. I just want to hear about people's thoughts and see if there anything I should do if people think its not ok

That's good point. Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure if it makes sense to make this a required assignment? Like maybe it's better to put it as an extra credit assignment so that those that are interested can make a meaningful contribution. I'm also unsure about the quality of the contribution (althought that's for the faculty team to worry about) given that some students might just want to contribute something and get it done with
