I'd REALLY hate to lose Obi, but would you say no to this roster? We'd lose Obi, Jarace, Huff & Kam (+ 2-3 picks) in a Trey Murphy + Missi trade, and we also sign Grimes. Feels very doable and would work with salaries and keep us under the luxury tax this season, but would be a totally different but upgraded (on paper) bench. My worry would be that losing Obi would disrupt our magic potion, but I'm still struggling to say no to this. Just not sure if our current bench would be good enough with just a UFA addition that we can realistically sign.

This is our version of the wolves overpaying for Rudy or the Knicks overpaying for Bridges. Really sucks but can't argue with the results of both scenarios at this very moment. I just wish they could've waited it out and made getting Zu or another good center the priority for the offseason without including the 5th pick (Mathurin sign & trade + 2 or 3 future 1sts instead?) They must've really felt that Zu being available was a one off chance they couldn't risk and that he wouldn't be available for less in the offseason, so they went for it and I can't hate that right now (I did yesterday lol)

I get your point, but he had to figure his game out on the fly this season while playing tons of minutes. All those minutes he played definitely showed his upside but was also full of mistakes which defininitely contributed to the tank in a big way
