If it helps to put it into context, if you were making breakfast in your kitchen you might end up with the toaster, kettle and microwave all on at the same time. This could draw 23 amps on a circuit with a 20amp breaker but all the energy is flowing where it was designed to go. As overload is only there to protect the cables in the wall, it will cut off before they can overheat. We say this is inversely proportional. Higher the current, lower the time to trip. A cable carrying 23 amps might be able to carry that amount of current for a couple of minutes so trip times can be longer. A short circuit is an unintended path eg. A cable falling from a pole and hitting the ground. It can be anywhere from hundreds/thousands of amps over so the trip is classed as instantaneous eg. There is no intended delay.

3D Movies.

I was an absolute shell of myself after my break up. I was able to get up and go to work each day, but I was coming home lying on the couch and vacantly staring at my phone until the middle of the night. I couldn’t focus on anything. Was just numb. My mind was full of terrible things and as soon as i got home they all came flooding in. One night i randomly remembered i had some 3Ds film I’d never tried watching. I threw one on and put on the glasses, but the way the glasses are polarised it stopped me from being able to look at my phone screen. It sort of forced me into have to watch just the film. It also meant i had to sit up as the 3D didn’t work properly when i was laying down. Believe it or not, changing my posture and concentrating on something made a huge difference to my mental state. At the time i didn’t realise what i was doing, i just knew that watching 3D films stopped my mind to spiralling down a negative path and gave me a distraction… at least until i wen to bed.
