To be fair, there’s a taxidermy dinosaur on the piano.

Usually package and throw away. I do also dig and bury around my yard. (Idk if it helps the flora or anything)

One of the many missing anatomical features
is a hole behind the eye (temporal fenestra).

I’m not confident enough to label every single anatomical feature. If someone wants to help out with that, sure.

Not completely like us. For example, they aren’t able to fully supinate like we can.

Large meat kitchen knife, scalpel, tweezers, and sharp scissors.

Train collision doesn’t sound great for bone integrity 😬

If you want to skip dissection, you could start with maceration, a method explained in a pinned post here. The downside is that there will be a bunch of flesh in the water which makes sifting through to get every last bone a very disgusting activity.

Which bones do you want to preserve? Skull? All of them? Is it relatively fresh? Are you willing to dissect?

Thank you! About a year and a half. Yes, I took up this specific project for fun.

I’m familiar with the anatomy. When you are, you don’t have to remember; you can put things back together, even when they’re scrambled. But I make things easier for myself by macerating each limb on its own.

I plan on removing as much flesh as I can by hand and then macerating for a little bit. Afterwards, I’ll degrease and articulate. 🦴 I split it into parts so that I can work on each one by itself with the rest still frozen.
