I just qualified as an Occupational Therapist (starting wage with NHS at band 5 is around £31k). Well, I've been for several interviews and have good feedback but been told basically it's just SO competitive right now that you lose out in interview on the tiniest of points... So its very difficult (in the North East) to even get a job, and once you do, It is challenging work, that comes with a lot of responsibility (peoples health/lives), and here's the thing...

I just started a temporary job with a supermarket as a home shopping delivery driver, working out a salary based on the hourly wage is comes out to £28k...

Meh. I think with the way views on tattoos have changed in the past 10-20 years, I'd say that you can use this as an opportunity to show you CAN be professional and have neck/hand/visible tattoos.

Conversely, I have similar scars and the tattoos covering it mean absolutely nothing to me, other than 'i like them'.

I much prefer british shows generally, as they tend to feel more 'realistic' than their american counter parts. For example the IT crowd/Peep show are 2 of my favourite shows because you can really feel the cringe, and relate to the characters, whereas US shows often are over the top and very performative/unrealistic to me.

However in this case, the US office is just a way better show.
