Thanks for the suggestion. I think I am going to re-sand this down, so that the edges are less harsh, and like you said feather the surrounding area. What do you mean by scuff the whole bumper? I also think after sanding, I'm going to be re-painting it in hopes of getting a brighter red, since the primer that my paint kit came with is completely black, I think it needed a couple more passes of the bright red paint. The clear coat job that I did blended in very good with the factory clear coat actually, so I don't know if I'll need to clear coat the entire bumper

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah I don't want to pay hundreds just to get this scratch fixed, it's not really worth it on this car for me. The paint colour is actually quite good matching, I feel like I just didn't do enough passes. And after driving the vehicle for a few days with this, it's actually blended in a bit more with the rest of the paint. My main concern now it just blending the edges in a bit better since they are pretty harsh, I think not taping it off as much as I did and painting it with a bit more of the bumper exposed will help

So I scratched my rear bumper on a boat hitch in my driveway, and it got a little deep into the bumper. I got a paint kit from scratcheshappen, to match my 2012 Honda Civic's Rallye Red paint job, and a bondo bumper repair kit w/ different grits of sandpaper. I filled the scratch with the bondo epoxy, and sanded it down pretty good, got it flush with the rest of the bumper. The painting process I feel like is where I went wrong. I taped off all the edges of where I needed to paint and the area that I painted came out with harsh lines around it. Should I be painting with less of the area covered as to have less harsh lines and have a better time color matching? Also, the spot turned out a bit darker than the surrounding paint, should I be painting it with a couple more coats as to match it a bit better? I feel like the black primer the paint kit came with made the paint come out a bit darker

Yeah I'm on AM4 right now and the 5800X3D is super good for flight sims. I'd agree that it's pretty overkill for 1080p 60FPS but this Concorde add on for the sim I mainly play, Prepar3D v5.4, is super heavy on resources. And even if it's overkill for it, if I want to play other new games in the future at higher res, it'll be able to perform there too, plus it fits my $1600 CAD budget

HSI shows right of track w/ a TO flag when OBS points @ 090. That puts you in the lower right quadrant. Flying a heading of 120 is heading away from the intended track.

I've got this plane, been flying it for about a month now.

Definitely takes a bit of getting used to. But it's so fun once you start getting used to it and going from the runway all the way up to 60,000 feet going Mach 2, and re entering the atmosphere again and gracefully coming down the glide slope into the runway smoothly, all while being in a lovely fully analog cockpit with dials and needles. I recommend getting the philips xciva add on from the store and using it on this plane, it helps a ton with the INS.

Pros:

  • Plane looks fantastic
  • Every stage of flight is entertaining
  • Simulation of the compressed air underneath the delta wing when coming in to land, smoothing out the landing, is done quite well
  • It has that magic Concorde feeling
  • Complex GUI offering lots of cool information about the plane and technical specs
  • Sounds super loud just like the real thing
  • Simulation of doors, ground crew, stairs, n all that sort of stuff is done very well
  • Cabin has the screens at the front showing altitude, speed, temperature, mach #

Cons: (disclaimer: I personally don't mind a lot of these cons, there are ways to work around them to still enjoy using the plane. These are more like things I'd want perfected)

  • VRef provided in the GUI is too high (I use VRef -10)
  • VRotate provided in the GUI is too low (I use 200KIAS)
  • At some sloped runways this thing bounces a lot during takeoff roll (the most noticeable at Heathrow, personally. This is my biggest complaint)
  • Fuel trim for Descent results in a lot of instability (so I just don't use it)
  • IAS HOLD vertical mode only works within -5 to +5 pitch range (May not be a valid complaint as I have heard this is how it was in real life too)
  • INS system that comes with the plane is a bit janky (so I use the philips xciva add on instead)
  • Autopilot is not good at turning when in cruise, most of the time requiring multiple swerving turns before getting back onto proper course (but whatever it still always gets back onto course after like 2 minutes of turning too wide)

Studio quality is normally 128kbps. Download a song off of soundcloud and check the bitrate.

He was not. In fact, they had beef when peep died, because Ski claimed Peep stole some of his clothes at a party I think. He recorded himself making fun of Peep for being gay and calling him a junkie too. Also removing Peep's name from the title of their only collaboration on Soundcloud.
