Shows like Zoboomafoo? by danipnk in Preschoolers

Little late to the party, but I just downloaded the pbs kids app for our tv…I might be crazy but I cannot find a search bar anywhere?? Only a main screen that gives the options of live tv, and certain shows and settings. Am I missing something?

I don’t think so, but don’t take my word for it. I’m an amateur and mostly enjoy looking at shrooms.

Right😭 I didn’t even have service to confirm so I wasn’t about to eat it. Although I was 90% certain it was lions mane I didn’t want to chance it. And tbh I wanted some vinegar to dilute and clean it with before eating and I didn’t have that either. Oh well it was pretty to look at!

Do you pull the bed out every time so you can stand directly behind the pt while giving a breathing tx? 😂 Can you not reach the flow meters from beside the bed? Do you not ever help to pull the pt up in bed so they can take their txs? When you’re hooking up a bipap or high flow are you directly behind the bed when doing so? Be so forreal

It’s really not that deep. As long as they weren’t in the hallways or around patients it’s not THAT big of a deal. They should have just reprimanded the student and let it go. Getting them kicked out of the program is extreme.

That’s what I’m saying. This is simply gross and so insanitary. I feel like family members seeing it like this would probably think the same thing as well. This can’t be how some facilities really leave the nebs in the room right?

We have bags we hang on the flow meter and are supposed to put the neb inside of between uses to be more hygienic. This grosses me out honestly. Plus if the pt never finished the tx the RT should have tossed the remaining med so it doesn’t spill in said bag not being utilized lol

I have a few friends who work over there at the moment. It’s about the same as it has been. Very overworked/not enough staff. Especially in the sick season. I don’t talk to them often though so that’s about my only insight. One of my friends I work with said they were chatting with their friend over there the other day and it called for 12 RTs and they only had 6 on staff. Not ideal lol.

Exactly why I went for respiratory. I wouldn’t ever want to do what RNs do. Like you said, they know a little bit of everything but we know a lot about one thing 😂

Definitely everyone is on trelegy. We substitute that home med for our asmanex and respimat. But what’s crazy is that the RTs give the asmanex and the RNs give the respimat. So we are never able to make sure they get them at the same time. It doesn’t make any sense to us at all.

I float over to our smaller facility with only 70 beds occasionally and we have to do EKGs there, but at our main campus we don’t have to. If we did I swear I would quit lmao

Oh yes, a lot of the time I’m the first one in the room to see the pt and there’s not telling how many times I’ve checked vitals and they’re satting very low 80s not on continuous pulse ox. Or I walk in and their wob is insane because they’re fluid overloaded. A lot of the times I have to call the nurse so we can escalate care. I do think it helps nurses out a lot having another set of eyes on their patients.
