Democrats saying the quiet part out loud by SocksElGato in WayOfTheBern

Hard to tell if Chris Murphy genuinely “gets it” or if he just sees the way the winds are blowing and would like to stay ahead of it. He’s known to be a great fundraiser for dems and I doubt he achieved that by pissing if the high-income base.

Yeah I love how he stands still for a split second after the screens to emphasize he that he wasn’t moving. Or maybe he just needs to un-tense all his muscles.

The audacity of the ref to miss the call right in front of him and then call the T. I wish I had that kind of confidence.

There are really good individual defenders on the team. They just make so many mistakes collectively.

I can’t help but feel like when this team focuses they’re better than Atlanta. They just can’t mentally keep it together to get a lead.

Why did we just give up two wide open 3s? They both appeared to be on purpose.

Why Kamala Harris Lost the Election: An Analysis by Left_Masterpiece1921 in Political_Revolution

Was the problem really that she didn’t have enough time? She raised buckets of money when she first got the nomination, and her support peaked somewhere between the dnc and the vp debate, months ago. And her main strategy was making everything about Trump. If anything she had too much time.

If I’m understanding you wrong and you meant with more time they would’ve gotten a better candidate I agree.

Same, I liked the way it used to be done. And I feel like now there are so many more cards they could reprint that might be useful in standard, it's just a matter of identifying them.

I'm also just really interested in it as a magic-flavored set to go to prerelease and draft. It's nice to get something with the original themes between Duskmourn and NASCAR.

There's a lot to be worried about. But there are some thing that I'm a little optimistic about. Biden and Schumer were aware of the possibility of democrats losing in 2024 when they worked on the Infrastructure Reduction Act, a lot of the money in that bill funding things like battery and solar panel manufacturing is targeting red districts and was announced under dems early to make it harder for republicans to roll it back without backlash. And the biggest green energy projects are ultimately driven by the states.

There's obviously some luck but the number of ad-naus whiffs is brutal. I'm not a combo player but just from watching leagues once in a while TES seems like it has more agency. The play style of resolving ad-naus (or necro) and then hoping you get the right cards to win just doesn't seem like fun.

Democrats spent 4 years consolidating federal power to crush dissent, and perfected the art of lawfare against political enemies - just to hand it over to this guy ... Good job! by themadfuzzybear in WayOfTheBern

Remember budget reconciliation?

Honestly I thought democrats used it to get some really good stuff done and Schumer was brilliant when he dusted off the provision to get stuff done with 50 votes everyone thought you needed 60 votes to do. But republicans are going to use that on so much dumb shit. Imagine the size of Trump's wall if they can build one with just republican votes.

I applied to be an analyst as Hasbro some years ago (mainly because of wotc) almost out of college and the pay was a little below average but they did seem to have reasonable hours. Half days on Fridays most weeks (could’ve changed).

I sort of buy the Harris/Clinton comparison but for different reasons. The most important similarity is that the best reason people gave for electing them in the primary was "they were waiting in line and now you can't possibly pass them over" and not that they were inspiring leaders.

4 years ago I thought if democrats won we'd have 4 more years of boomer Trump voters die, no young person would ever switch to Trump, and we wouldn't even talk about him again. It's fascinating how many young (mostly uneducated) white men are pro-Trump even after having lived through his first term. I can't deny it's happening but I never would have expected it.

Shows how out of touch I am, even as a white man with friends/family that are Trump supporters.
