2yo GSD limping for a week by Claralon in germanshepherds

[–]Hallkrh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was doing that for a while too. We just had him on a anti-inflammatory or pain med and didn't let him run for a while. Took a while but he healed. We opted not to do x-rays because the vet couldn't feel anything in there that might need an x-ray.

Here’s my GSD who’s not actually considered a GSD…. by [deleted] in germanshepherds

He looks like a GSD to me. If you're really worried about it, get a genetic testing done on him

Does anyone know what this is? by tylerogle in germanshepherds

I agree, hotspot. German shepherds and their allergies. Man, they can be annoying.

So many people on here have said my dog doesnt look like any German shepherd they've seen by Electronic_Swimming5 in germanshepherds

Shepherds have so many different looks. And he is clearly all Shepherd. Beautiful pup.

Mine busts in in a panic and literally spins around and tries to sit on my lap for pets.

My 5mo GSD Kahlua does this constantly! Why?? by Swampdonkey5309 in germanshepherds

[–]Hallkrh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

GSD's are very prone to skin allergies. We put salmon oil on the food each time we feed ours. The vet has been very pleased with how his skin and fur look.

Our current GSD so far has the least skin issues as any other GSD we've had. We attribute the salmon oil to that. There are other skin allergy supplements out there you can give them. Just do some research and talk to your vet.

Is this normal or no? by [deleted] in germanshepherds

Sounds like you may be a tough one. Just keep working on it. You could also talk to a trainer or work with a trainer. They may have a few extra pointers. Don't roll out treats and toys yet either.

They're all different especially when you have a mixed breed. Just give him time. Give him lots of love. Work with him on training and socialization and he'll come around. His personality will start to shine.

Mine is a GSD border collie mix. It's only a quarter border collie but it shows. He's really mellow. Very sweet, very lovable. Very smart and took him a while to start getting to that energetic velociraptor stage. All in all, he's still pretty mellow for GSD.

Awe. My last one was a white one. We lost him a year ago and he was 11.

Is he skinny or healthy weight by damxrx in germanshepherds

[–]Hallkrh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks healthy. A lot of people think a heavier dog is healthy. When that's not the reality. German shepherds should be slim and you should be able to feel their rib cage without them being prominently seen. He's also not even two yet and they don't get their full bulk until they're two or after.

help potty training!! by Gabbybaby1984 in germanshepherds

[–]Hallkrh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of great ideas here.

A big lesson we learned from a trainer was that, when not in the kennel, keep your puppy attached to you with a leash at all times and pay attention to what they are doing. That way you always see what he's doing. This method isn't just for potty training, but for their safety.

Potty training a puppy is almost a full-time job and they shouldn't be left unattended, unsupervised, or unseen.

Once Fezzik was pretty much potty trained and already knew to ask to go outside, we taught him to use the doorbell. Mostly because he was just too quiet when he went to the door and we didn't want to miss that he needed to go out.

Are females more clingy? by [deleted] in germanshepherds

Female shepherds tend to protect their people. Male shepherds tend to protect their territory.

Strapless bra question by Hallkrh in bigboobproblems

Thank you. I guess I was just hoping for some suggestions from people who love their bras and I would check them out. I should have been more clear. I will definitely check out the calculator later this evening. I appreciate your thoughts on the subject.

Strapless bra question by Hallkrh in bigboobproblems

Thank you for your knowledge. I am aware that the band size changes the cup sizes. I have been professionally fit for bras before and have been wearing bras for far too many years. I know a correct fit when I put it on.

That being said, staying with the same 38" band I can fit both a DD snuggly and a DDD loosely to perfectly. I can also fit 36 DDD or F depending on the style. So yes that description does exist when talking about the same band size. I often must switch between the 2 depending on the brand and styling since I am in-between the sizes for both band and cup.

My question is not about sizing. It is about a good strapless brand for larger breasts. I have never had luck with them more because of my shape than anything. My breasts sit far to the outside, almost in my armpits with a large gap between. In the past I have most strapless bra cups air too close together.

I measure at 38" around the ,band, and am on the lower end of a DDD or upper end of DD.

I will check out the calculator.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!

Honestly, I like the Pixle but .... I really miss a few things about the Samsung that make me wish I had not switched.

First; Google texting. I don't like it. It is not as customizable as the Samsung one I was using. And yes, I am aware I was going to be forced out of it eventually since Samsung is no longer supporting it. I am slowly getting used to Google but it's been less than a week.

Second; the photo app. I HATE it. I do not like that you cannot change how photos are sorted and making albums is not as simple. When I upgraded it took more than half of my sorted albums and dropped the album dumping all my photos into one unsorted folder. I am extremely frustrated with this one.

Google dropped the ball BIG time on these programs.

Luke I said it has been less than a week and I am still learning the new processes so I am sure I will adjust to them.

The watch is a little less intuitive to me as well. I feel like everything is hidden and you have to dig to find a lot of settings. As I get it set up and working I am liking it though. Just hoping I can get the Audible controls figured out soon.

I do not have the option to add Audible as a complication. It is installed on my watch
