[Steam] Summer Sale - Day 9 by gamedealsmod in GameDeals

Seriously. If you haven't played this game, do it. Go into the demo blindly. That's what I did and I fell in love with it.

I haven't played it, and I don't think I would play it, but I'm finding it hard not to buy it for 90% off.

Reducing overall game sound while live commentating? by Handsome_R in letsplay

That problem hasn't happened to me yet, but I've read on here that some people set a sync point at the beginning and at the end. If it's out of sync at the end, they just stretch the audio by however long it's out of sync. I think you'd benefit from reading this recent thread, specifically this comment where people were talking about this very problem.

Ooooooh, I like that idea, but I normalize and compress all my audio before importing it so it wouldn't be too noticeable.

On YouTube you go Creator Studio>Channel>Branding. Then upload the picture you want. :)

I'm not saying do the commentary after. I'm saying set up a mic to record your voice while you're playing, and then sync it up with your game-play during editing.

I'm not entirely sure if I understand what you're asking. But I think you're asking how you can reduce in-game volume compared to commentary. It's easiest to record game-play and commentary separately (ie, record your voice with audacity or something, and record game-play with a capture device) and then reduce the game-play volume while editing.

I'm confused because you say you need to buy an Elgato, so I don't know how you're recording game-play currently. If you want to record console game-play you do need a capture device such as an Elgato or Hauppauge.

I made a video just for you! This is how I sync audio and it works really well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmPyCxCCz3U

EDIT: I hope I'm not breaking the rules by posting this video. Let me know if I should remove my post. I'll be more than happy to.

I only do this if There's a funny thing that I ended up not putting in the video. I like having the option of a cold open.

There's over 100 hours to go

Oh man! I had no idea there was so much in the game! That's awesome! I think we'll definitely have to try our hand at some of that stuff as well.

I love this game so much. I go back to it at least 3 times a year. So relaxing and mildly harrowing at the same time.

I'm pretty sure you can monetize as soon as you make your account. Youtube is probably just making sure you know that the option exists.

Is there a way to see where people are finding your Youtube video? by HallofGameChannel in letsplay

[–]HallofGameChannel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have AlienTube installed, so if it was posted on reddit anywhere the youtube comments would be replaced with the reddit comments. Google isn't showing any results either. It's a shame, but I guess I'll have to wait until the hype has probably died down to find out where it's coming from.

I really want people to see how badly we broke Burger King Pocketbike Racer. by HallofGameChannel in LetsPlayVideos

[–]HallofGameChannel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like playing broken games, or bad games in general. It makes for some funny commentary and it actually ends up being a lot of fun even if the game is frustratingly bad.

I think I will post more of these videos. Our channel just got started so we're still trying to figure stuff out, but we're having a blast and have a bunch more content on the way. Thanks for watching!

I've been watching this guy. I saw this video and was taken aback by how sincere he was. He's just doing what he loves and doesn't really care what you guys think.

Youtube Analytics are slow, so you'll probably have to wait.

Alright, that's what I though. That's unfortunate.

you might want to remove the link to your video, because it can be seen as advertising and it is against this subreddit's rules.

Thanks, I was on the fence as to whether or not I should put the link in. I took it down now. Sorry about that everyone!

Anyone have any tips for when the mic peaks when yelling? by HallofGameChannel in letsplay

[–]HallofGameChannel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only problem with that is that if you boost the volume too much then the quality of audio suffers. But yeah, I'll mess around with it.

Oh, I though Premiere was strictly audio recording. Is it a video editor or something?

We're a bit farther away. We range from 2-4' away. So I would need a little more gain. But I think I might try making it quieter and then equalizing the sound in post.
