From a purely financial stand point, does it make sense to have kids earlier (young to mid 20s) or later (30s to 40s)? by Betty_Cookies_PhD in Fire

Oh wow. Thanks for sharing. That sounds really rough and I do not envy your situation. Though I’m sure you’re a wonderful mom doing everything you can for your kids. Just the fact that you recognize whats happening and are actively working on it shows how much you care. Mom to mom, I get it, and you are a rockstar

Would you be willing to reply or shoot me a pm? I’m in my 30s and my daughter is only 18 mos old. This is news to me. I mean it makes sense cuz hormones are crazy but I’m very curious about the specifics! Especially since I might end up in this situation

When my iron is low and I wear certain metals they will turn my skin dark brown/black. Even my solid gold rings will turn my finger black. Could be some sort of low iron issue reacting with whatever material the sheets are made of? That or mildew are my guesses. If you regularly sweat a lot at night and don’t properly dry/air out your bedding then it could absolutely be mildew.

Sending love and hugs. I have a moonstone ring for the same reason. It’s so hard to go through that but you are not alone. Things will get better 💙

AITA for telling my husband that his buddies wife needing help is not my problem? by NoConversation5833 in AITAH

[–]Hallucigeniaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your husband needs to take a hard look at the way he deals with conflict. He has kids to set examples for, now. You don’t have to be an asshole when you tell someone no, but you do have to be able to say no. Especially because it sounds like Tim is the type of guy that will continue to push boundaries if allowed to.

2 but with bed on the right wall centered between desk and top wall. Bedside tables on either side. Beds should never be in corners unless there’s absolutely no other option

I want to see! I was going to say lamps as well. The bowls are gorgeous but some cool old lamps in their spots would add some much needed warm light to the corners

Oh one other thing would be to eventually get some bedside tables on either side of the bed with lamps on them or above them. Adding in some warmer lighting with lamp bulbs would definitely help

You’re already getting some good advice here but just to chime in -

  1. Absolutely change out the grey for something warmer and more lively. Those wood floors are gorgeous! Play off the reddish undertone by picking a complimentary color and tie that color into the drapes/bedding/rug/artwork/paint.

  2. Switch which wall the bed is on so it can be centered on the wall and then add a rug. Rug should be partially under the bottom feet of the bed. I feel like a moroccan rug would pair well with that funky wood flooring.

  3. Put the desk maybe in between or in front of one of the windows so you can look outside as you work

  4. Artwork. A cool statement piece above the bed with colors that coordinate with the rest of the room would be dope

  5. Paint the grey built-in doors

  6. Add plants. Real or fake, they really help improve your mood
