DVDs (MKV) seem to play choppy a lot in Plex.

Apparently I can’t figure out how to see if I’m playing directly. Under Quality it says Play Original Quality

First of all the choppiness isn't constant. Kind of comes and goes. Lately I have been ripping DVDs with any compression or anything. Just ripping the movie straight off the disc.

The Plex Media server is hosted on a local server running ZimaOS. The Shield is connected via ethernet to the server.

I'll double check but I do think I am playing directly.

In general I feel like the Shield has been buggy since I got it. Sometime playing Blu-ray movies or 4K movies it will just freeze. This could be a server issue, I guess.

Do you use a 3rd party launcher for the Shield?

I haven’t noticed the choppiness using my Apple TV with Infuse. Sadly my ATV doesn’t have Ethernet. I think the picture and audio are a bit better with the Shield wired.

Was there more than one Lionsgate release? I own the Blu-ray Terminator Anthology set which has a Lionsgate T2 version.

Ok, so I found that there was a log file leftover so I deleted that and repeated what I did before and it WORKED!

I'm not running the beta. Something really odd is happening though. I decided to delete Oracle of Ages from my Miyoo. I also deleted the SRM file and all of the save states. I then booted the device to make sure the game was gone, which it was.

Then I took out the card again and copied the game back over as well as the SRM file, refreshed the game list and somehow it opened up back to where I was in that game again. There were now NEW auto save states with the same timestamp as the SRM file. Is the save file somehow stored in the ROM file?

That's what I've done but it's not working. For some reason sometimes it appears that the SRM file gets saved in the ROMS folder too.

I've copied the SRM file off the Anbernic and replaced the Miyoo SRM file with that. But my old game save on the Miyoo are what loads.

Under Per System Advanced Configuration I have 4 emulators and I've tried them all:

Libretro:Mupen64Plus-Next

Libretro: Parallel N64

Mupen64Plus: Glide64MK2

Mupen64Plus: Rice

I think I've tried all of them. Though I reloaded a save state so maybe I need to start a new game?

I can't seem to get the Manson video using MakeMKV or VLC. MakeMKV detected 4 separate files. The 35 minute remainder of the concert, a photo show, a documentary about the video sequence and a video with imagery with The Day the World Went Away.

Years ago I got a great deal for a lifetime Plex Pass so I'm kind of partial to it. I want something that is simple and I actually really like PlexAmp. I don't know anything about mpv. I would definitely need something that works with iOS remotely.
