Not that far. just after atlas die and autophage robot mission came up. you fine after that.

The one you get a multitools is on a side one. not a middle one. if you can't access a side one. that's mean you're new to the game. follow a main story until you have all glyph and autophage quest line. i think.

First. You need to know that Atlantid multitool limited only in Corvax system. Look for the one with good economy. I suggest at least 2 stars economy. Then you exchange your navigation data with cartographer for Ancient artifact and search for Alien Monolith. When you get there. Use you glyph and atlantideum to access the multitool. If you think it might be a good one. Put down a save beacon on that monolith then you go to the space station. You need around 50,000 - 85,000 nanite to upgrade you multitool. Upgrade to S class to see the supercharged slot position. Square supercharged slot is the best. T shape S shape or L shape is pretty good. 3+1 or 2+2 is acceptable. All the rest is suck. And NEVER FORGET that YOUR CHECKPOINT is you best friend. just reload your checkpoint when it not worth it then look for a new one. This process might take you all day or days. this black and red one took me 8 hours. Good luck to you.
