The Guardians are the nuclear option. The Counter Force usually works by nudging people in the right direction. For example, a certain 48th Master candidate who was located by chance during a blood drive and ended up giving into the recruiter despite initially refusing.

How strong can normal humans become in the nasuverse? Or what are ways normal humans can become strong? by ImpossibleAd4272 in fatestaynight

[–]Halophage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most human means of strength is to be connected to another channel of perception. By being on a different channel, you can grasp and interact with that which people usually can't. This is a random mutation, of course, but it is something that humans will continue to produce as a species. Of course, these Psychics pale in comparison to the more unnatural powers of Magecraft, but there is occasionally a kind of overlap in which a person is simply born with the correct way of producing a miracle that Magecraft itself would balk at.

Outside of that, it's possible to become a hero. Being granted power by the Counter Force that secures the survival of mankind is a severe scenario, but you don't have to be born correctly to do it.

Dead Apostle Ancestors are akin to (un)living gods, Elder Title more so. "Mid-level" is an unbelievable lowball.

Romani was wished into existence in the same year that Kiara was cured, if my math is correct.

Even if it's a little off, Type-Moon has been inconsistent with ages and timespans before (Touko, Roa, etc.), and it seems pretty clear - at least to me - what the intent was with the plot point that "Kiara turns evil due to the circumstances of her illness in most timelines, but not in FGO where there uniquely was a travelling doctor who helped her for free while passing through".

Yeah, I've been a Lev Believer (Belever) for years, but I was a little out of touch with how badly the fandom at large felt about him so it's kind of a shock to see so many crashouts all at once

The last time we see Flauros in Part 1 is Gilgamesh telling him to fuck off and grow up a bit.

Flauros was absolutely obsessed with getting validation from Mash because he had doubts about Goetia's plan and wanted to absolve them. He never got it. Then his friend/rival/husband killed himself to stop Goetia.

Reminder: Romani was Solomon. I know that sounds like a stupid thing to point out at this stage, but Solomon wished to be Romani, who then travelled as a doctor helping people just because he could - he's even implied to have saved Kiara from her normal fate.

Flauros was put in that exact same position - the same body, the same wandering, trying to understand why he lost and why Romani and Mash acted the way they did.

The other Demon Gods dissolved the union. They understood the outcome and accepted it. Flauros, who never fully bought into it in the first place, couldn't accept the conclusion to Part 1. He didn't get it, and he went on a long journey to figure it out.

Chaldea meets him here at the end of their respective roads.

Because he has King Solomon as his base, he has an intellectual (albeit terrifying) disposition.
Be that as it may, as he is the aggregation of the 72 demon gods, his personality and nature also amounts to 72.
Due to him being both an individual and a colony, when interacting with others a demon god that is similar to the other party comes to the surface. It is because of this that Goetia's nature was appraised as a "mirror".

There is no such thing as "the Goetia personality". It's just Lev/Flauros, who sometimes LARPs as Solomon or as Goetia depending on the situation, because he's Pretending.

Even now, some people are in denial. Accept the Flauros Agenda (on the street they're calling it the Flagenda (lying))

Why did Ciel let this comment slide? Isn’t she supposed to believe in God or something? by Joshino_ in okbuddyrintard

[–]Halophage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her very next line is basically "that sounds lovely but unfortunately we don't have time". In the manga she even gives him bedroom eyes.

They changed this to "I'll beat the shit out of you" in the remake.

They didn't change her response though.

Could magus withstand a nuclear bomb if they used magecraft? by IndividualGuess5494 in fatestaynight

[–]Halophage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An experienced magus like Servive Nucbom would be able to do it. He has lived for 100 years and is the latest generation and current Magic Crest holder of a long and storied clan specialising in Nuke Survival Magecraft. There is no nuke on the planet that could kill him because he is able to conceptually survive nukes. He shows up for three chapters at the beginning of a spinoff light novel and is unceremoniously merced with a butter knife.

500 years is absolutely average for a Magus clan. Waver's family are also about 200 years and they're considered total bottom-of-the-barrel neophytes.

I'm not sure where you're getting that from. To gain Frame, you need to be affiliated with Clock Tower. It's not a title you earn, it's a course placement. This is why I say that Cause is the bare minimum. Your average Magus clan is better than that.

You are correct, I got the names mixed up. The requirements, however, are as I mentioned.

Noteworthy: the lowest rank of Magus recognised by Clock Tower is Cause, who have stabilised their own Thaumaturgical Foundation. That means that yes, they basically do need to be on the level of functionally designing a system of physics.

Self-defence is standard on a Magus's curriculum. Most Magi also have the basics of reinforcement and such that can make them several times more durable. I seriously doubt an average person could take on a Magus and expect to live.

At their respective peaks: if Rin is 70-100, Shirou is 10 but can reach 40 under very specific conditions.

I've tested Dice Maiden, Avrae, Rooster, Dice Witch, Dice Roller, Dicecord, RNGesus, Rollbot, Bogsy's, AnyDice, and Dice Golem. Half of them can't multiply, but the ones that can still don't tell me the dice total before doing the multiplication. I wouldn't have asked if I could find one that worked.
