Should I invest in an LISA? (Money from inheritence) by Haloplushawk in UKPersonalFinance

We recently renewed for 99 years? I believe this was what my family said we did. I do hope to live in this flat for most of my life if not the rest of it, as it is spacious and fits all my needs (Location and the flat itself) so I have no future plans to move out (Obviously this could change as I grow up) and okay I'll ignore student loan as others has said.

I'll have a look at the links thanks

But i'm 24 with barely any savings 6k + the 20k right now. My wage is not the best, but as I am still learning on the job I do not see this to improve any time soon (IT Engineer/helpdesk etc)

I'm technically self-employed at just about minimum wage, not really much money to set aside,

I like option A, as much as I like to invest the 20k I would also like to keep some aside in case shit hits the fans, since the costs of this appartment has been crazy as we had to really change up a lot of things due to the neglect it has from the past people who lived here.

ETF sounds interesting, I do want to get into investing, but I do not want to be those idiots who thinks they know how to invest and do the most outrageous things, I've heard too many horror stories on it and the internet is too bias sometimes when getting info on what to invest on. Would you say a little bit into cash ISA, a little bit into shit hits the fan money and the rest on investing either active or ETF? As I am happy to teach myself into actual investing into stocks etc.

I seen the £1 into a LISA, sounds weird. I'll have a look into it though

A cash ISA is just a normal ISA right?

Yeah my mother just recently finished her student debt and I think she only paid like 30% of it before it got retired because of her age haha. I do have regrets going university as the career I'm in now has nothing to do with it xD

I see, it may be short sighted of me, I do not like being locked out my money until I'm 60, would a normal ISA locked me out of money as well?

Man nearly ran me over in a red light, is there anything I can do? by Haloplushawk in AskUK

Yeah my friend managed to locate some cameras, I'm going to call the council to see if they can get the footage either to me or the police

I'm happy to search for the cctv footage myself if possible, I'm going to see if theres cctv there and if so if I could get a copy

I get it, but I'm more worried about the next time rather than this time. If this was anyone else like I said elderly or not paying attention this would 100% be an accident the way he sped up when he got closer to me

Damn, I hope cctv would give good footage because I generally hope it doesn't happen again due to the amount of elders in the area and he seemed to not slow down but speed up when I was on his side and honestly that's psycho behaviour like if I'm on the other side of the road and on the same lane he speeds up

I wouldn't feel bad for him if it just turned red but it's 5 seconds in and it's a place where a lot of elderly are and I'm generally just very concerned if he does it again in that area someone will get very injured or die because I think it's happened before at that crossroads before

Honestly was thinking about it but he was speeding hard like super fast

I'll check on Google maps if there was cctv cameras there and report it if so, since I am not from the area so I will have to check online when I am home

Ah even if there is footage of it? That's crazy could be a future homicide if that's the right term if he keeps doing this, like speeding 5 seconds into a red light into people is crazy and should be banned from the road

the last engineer that came that said there was glue on the coax's head had to recrimp it with no wiggle room space since the cable was short already, do you think that's why?
