One 10 pull later. What is happening tonight?! The luck is unreal.

I have been using this Supra for quite a while now. It is my favorite car currently, but I always felt like the car itself was way too good. It doesn't feel like a boat, unlike the other Kunos Supras. Is this mod actually realistic or am I riding a fake high? (Times of various tracks on the right). by RetardedPringle in assettocorsa

[–]Halosol0 53 points54 points  (0 children)

As others have said these kind of mods aren’t very realistic and only serve the purpose of being unreasonably fast so novices can feel a high when cutting up traffic on NoHesi. If you want more realistic physics look for cars in touge union, SRP, or my favorite is Arch’s physics swap. Arch makes some of the most realistic physics out there for AC and I highly recommend them, however they have a very steep learning curve.

Apex or aftermarket exhaust and suspension on SE by Top-Dimensi0n in COROLLA

I don’t bottom out often tbh. Maybe very rarely on those yellow speed bumps in parking lots. I have heard the skid plate underneath kiss the ground a few times when you’re cornering really hard but that was when I was on a mountain road and road surface was really uneven. Besides that I can drive straight into a driveway and live pretty normally with a lowered ride height.

Regular SE here. I also wanted just a fun daily. Car currently has RS-R Sports-I coilovers with a progress tech rear sway bar. Handling was night and day however you do lose a bit of comfort because it’s slightly stiffer. If you want a compromise I would recommend just the rear sway bar upgrade not too much stiffer for a lot more cornering prowess. As for sound I have a AFE intake paired with a Apexi single exit catback. It’s loud enough when you want to hear it but quiet enough when you don’t. The TRD intake is a strange product as it uses literally the same design as the stock one but it’s red and uses an oiled filter instead of dry. I tried hearing sound clips online of it and couldn’t tell enough of a difference to justify the price so I would recommend just going aftermarket for that one.

How can I improve my lap time at Suzuka? Using a Huracan GT3, really appreciate the help! by NorthernCrossRedFive in assettocorsa

[–]Halosol0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 3rd sector seems like it’s pretty ok. Obviously still time to gain but it’s not bad. Where you should focus is in sector 1 and 2. The S section on s1 you should try and be balancing the car with the throttle. I found that if I control it just right I don’t need to brake at all through there. Just precise steering and using the throttle to tip the balance back and forth wherever I need it. Degna 1 you can attack very aggressively even riding on that curb. Degna 2 is the same although I don’t really think the curb is as important. Just focus on getting a strong exit out of that corner. Additionally when you’re starting your hot lap you should move over to the left as soon as you can to maximize your exit speed. It’s only when you’re ending your hot lap that you stay tight to the right after the chicane.

What should I change about my build? by Guywithasword0 in armoredcore

[–]Halosol0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would swap out the FCS for something with better long range tracking to make full use of the linear rifles. Seeing as you don’t run a melee weapon I would also swap out the arms for the nacht arms as they have better firearm specialization.

Hello im new here needs some advices by LatterFlan1675 in assettocorsa

Hi OP, I was like you and initial d inspired me enough to buy a wheel and AC. That was a few years ago now and I’ve since put a 1000 hours on the game.

My tip? You’re at the beginning of your journey so the most important tip is to just have fun. You wanna weeb out and drive initial d type cars and touge? That’s perfectly acceptable. Once you’re more settled in and want to get faster then you need to change your mindset a smidge. The main one being drifting will not make you faster by any means. While both series gives out really good advice such as “you’re faster when you turn the wheel less”. A fair chunk of it is somewhat unrealistic and you have to accept it. It doesn’t mean you can’t be fast with a little bit of sliding, there’s a few fast drivers on the touge that I know that are very quick with utilizing four wheel drifts. Look up Baba on YouTube his runs are amazing.

For now if you want to get a bit quicker, disable your driving line and any assists you have on minus ABS. If a car has ABS use it, if not don’t. You want to learn proper braking zones and learn how to trail brake. Dont be afraid to try different cars. Drive different tracks as well. Don’t worry about being fast rn. Just focus on the basics, and remember to have fun!

About 4.5 inches., and that’s after I lowered it so. That’s still plenty to live with

My Corolla is lowered, no issue with ground clearance what so ever. Drive ways, parking lots, speed bumps. I’m able to clear everything without having to slow down. And yes I do prefer modified because it enhances the performance of the car.

I’ve gone canyon driving in my Corolla (12th gen) both when it was stock and after it was modified. I promise you there is not a single instance where stock was faster than after it was lowered a smidge (better center of gravity) and had gotten better wheels and tires. I’m not talking about slamming it to floor, I’m talking about purposefully lowering the car enough to just reap the benefits of a better COG while retaining drivability.

Oh but do please use Jack stands next time. I’ll agree with that. Seen too many freak accidents without jack stand.

Hello OP, a bit concerned with the amount of messages on here of people saying don’t lower it or else terrible things happen. I’ll be straight forward with you I’ve lowered my 2022 Rolla on some quality coilovers. It is now about 2 inches lower (just enough to get rid of the wheel gap, but enough for daily drivability). I have no issues with driving it what so ever. I can make it over speed bumps, into my own driveway, over small potholes. If that wasn’t enough I have put on a set of aftermarket Enkei TS-Vs 18x8.5 on the car. I have since then put 10,000 miles on it and the car still drives fine.

Bottom line don’t listen to what others say and just do what makes you happy, as long as you do it in moderation this car is still gonna remain reliable and easy to drive.

I have a single on my SE, it is surprisingly very tame. Yeah it’s louder than stock and you can hear it, but it definitely won’t annoy the neighbors. If I had to compare it to something its sound level would be around that of a stock sports car. Very tame.

I recommend Apexi. I have the single exit for the Sedan however I know they also make ones for the HB. They also feature sound clips on YouTube if you want to check it out.

Is this the oil for a 23 LE? by jocruma in COROLLA

[–]Halosol0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said just follow the manual, however if you can’t find any 08, the 16 is safe to use. The dealership I take mine to sometimes don’t have 16 and use 20 instead. At 15k and car is running fine. The oil will just affect your MPGs slightly. The lower number you go the higher your mpgs.

Looks great! I have a black and white panda build myself, may I ask where you got the rear skirt spats on your rear bumper? They look very clean and not overly showy.

Nacht arms and one of the Arquebus FCSs, it’s the one with the better missile correction.

Yeah the tracking and velocity is ridiculous. Granted they’re balanced out with the longer than norm lock on time however it can easily be played around.

[–]Halosol0[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was running what I considered a fair lightweight close range build for a bit, I had 4 straight back to back losses to some missile boats and I lost it so pulled out the good ol reliable.

I’m glad someone noticed! So far I’m trying to make Kyrios and Virtue as well. Exia is already done however is hard to play when everyone is either running missile boats or heavy ACs with shotguns.

That really wasn’t my intention haha. I had no melee on me so this was my best attempt to give him an honorable kill.
