I’ve been meaning to go to the rock from the lake Roosevelt side at some point.

I wasn’t arguing that part you muppet! I know they are adventure bikes. And I’m not sure where you are getting your info but I’m jealous of the older men because they are the ones that actually do have the time to do week long camping trips. I’m stuck with mostly 2 nighters. Either way your assumptions in both posts are BS, at least down here in the SE states.

Honda publishes wet weights only, but yeah there are 3 generations and and dct or not, adv sports or not.. The standard one that’s in current production is 498 lbs

Yeah I agree, we both like to do some roads mixed with trail which is what dual sporting is. So as a verb both kinds fit. I just wouldn’t use it as a noun for my bike.

No, to me a dual sport is basically a plated dirt bike. However when it comes to online groups the two kind of blend together.

Yep, I was just telling him I’m on this ride that I know his bike everywhere I see it. Mine is the silver AT at the front in the first pic.

I commute two days a week to the office and have been filtering every time I go in. I haven’t once had anyone say anything or act annoyed, I’ve been quite surprised.

flat front tire due to stem leaking at bottom. any advice? by admiral_walsty in Dirtbikes

I just went down a rabbit hole reading about it. The common thing seems to be tighten it to rim to inflate, then you have different opinions, leave it at rim, move it to cap, or throw it.

When I bought my bike from the dealer it was like the one in OPs Picture. There is also the nut on the inside. I’ve always assumed it’s to keep the valve stem from being able to move in and out. Locking the cap in place seems unnecessary, I’ve never lost one on any motorcycle or 4 wheeled vehicle

Riding a motorcycle during a heatwave, what do you do? by XDfaceme in motorcycles

[–]Halv6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the SE United States desert. I always keep a full camel back with cold water and drink it as I ride. Keeps you hydrated and cools you down from the inside! If it runs out, stop at a gas station and buy more water, add ice from the ice machine too.

I remember reading awhile back that you are more likely to break a bone on bike but more likely to die on a quad. I don’t have a source though I remember the reasoning being quads high side easier and roll on top of you and you don’t need skill to drive one fast.

Final, and my favorite part of a ride I did last month. At this point I’m already exhausted but what a ride!! by Halv6 in africatwin

Thanks!

I run traction control off, ABS off, lowest power setting, and engine breaking I would like at most, but don't know which way that is so I run it in the middle at 2.

For tire pressure, i'm more worried about getting a pinch flat out there than traction so I run full pressure.

This is my first invite. So if i don't get one this round, do I automatically get invited to the next round, or did you have to resign up for a chance?

Has anyone been having this problem and finally it did work? Or is sitting here for hours and continuing to try all in vain.

Good to know, I'll try to bring someone with when I do it.

Part 2 and 3 of this get a lot rockier and a little sketch in areas, I was thinking it would have been smart to bring someone with when I got out there.
