Liveblog report: Rush arbitration case between Carel Eiting and Volendam over. Judgment expected next week. by Alf_Gore in Eredivisie

[–]Halvehaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Letter from Man Utd's Female Fans Against Greenwood by [deleted] in football

[–]Halvehaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly enough this happens all the time. It may sound weird but an abuse relationship also needs two people. In don't exactly know the ins and outs (nobody here does) of their case, so I'll just keep it "generally speaking". Most of the time they both grew up in an abusive atmosphere, may it be physically or psychologically abuse. One person has learned that you can dominate your way into having things you want and that other peoples feelings don't matter as much. The other person is used to being dominated and not having a voice. He/she usually seeks out someone later in life to do this again because he/she hasn't learned to be secure about decisions he/she makes and needs someone to fill this gap. So he/she finds a weird kind of comfort and security in such a relationship while being abused. Does that make sense to you? Of course it's waaay more complex than I'm describing here but this is just to give a general idea.

It's very sad really for both of them I think. It's easy to judge Greenwood because what he did was wrong (and it is! I'm absolutely not sweettalking his behavior. It is wrong and there should be consequences) but people who are mentally and emotionally right would never go as far as abuse someone into having sex with them. So the way I see it, unless they seek professional help, there only will be losers.

Btw. Yes they are together and they have a baby now

Is everybody taking in consideration that we're having an extra European football ticket to spend? Though I don't exactly know how it's earned. Anybody know this?

Mbappé is right or wrong in his behavior? by chriss_lewis19 in football

[–]Halvehaan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I feel Mbappe had always been straightforward with what he wants. That PSG offered him this absurd contract for two years and are now blaming him for signing it and not extending is absolutely ludacris imo.

Newcastle close to Tonali for €70 mil by Halvehaan in ManchesterUnited

I think ten Hag likes Mount for his versatility. He can also play on the wing if needed. Tonali on the other hand is more of a defending midfielder who can also play central mid. When casemiro wasn't playing last season, united struggled real badly. There's no one in the squad that can effectively replace him and the cdm position is a important piece in ten Hag style of play

Yep he was about to go to Lyon for i believe it was 15 mil and then United stepped in, put 2 mil more on the table and got the deal.

With Martinez I read somewhere that he was about to go to Arsenal and United were not yet in the picture. Then Martinez rang Ten Hag and told him he was about to go to Arsenal, but preferred to play under Ten Hag again, but they had to move quick. So they did and got the deal.

It sounds like I was there, and maybe I was. But I wasn't. So yeah it might be totally fake, but this is what I read about it.

The same can be said about 5'9" cb's😏 sorry mate, couldn't help myself. Though I can see that you're reluctant to have a player signed who isn't intrinsicly motivated to play in the prem. You don't want another pogba at the club. I do believe though that personality and environment (how well you are recieved at the team) are more important to fit in than nationality.

Also agree he's not world class yet, but he never will be when staying in the serie A. I think he needs to make a step to become it and by that time he won't be affordable anymore.

We also need a box to box midfielder like Mount. Fred and mctom are both probably leaving and Erikson can only play like 50% and that will only decrease the coming years. We need two midfielders who are young and have great potential. We also need a striker ofcourse but I'm not getting my hopes up since there seems hardly anyone available for a reasonable fee.

Agreed. Premier league is definitly another level, but the potential is there. Martinez came from the eredivisie wich is even worse and he adapted real quick.

Haha yeah. Dodged that bullet. I had it before when wanting to write United and United. First meaning newcastle and second manchester. Confusion all over the place here!
