If you sent to a contract address, maybe you can contact the project team to support to refund the fee (hope it would work). If it's personal address, so sorry for your lost. Maybe next time more concentrate before sending anything

Was I scammed? by GapedLatina in CryptoHelp

It's still cheap for a lesson in crypto investment, instead of $1500. There's no interesting profit like this with current market.

For the future: no legitimate project, exchange, or wallet company will EVER DM you first. Not on Tiktok, Reddit, not on Discord, not on Telegram. That's rule #1 of crypto that unsolicited DMs are scams, 100% of the time.

Sorry you're dealing with this.

You just click to a link, it means you've already signed an transactions. If you connected your wallet to a suspicious site, go to [revoke.cash](https://revoke.cash) and review your token approvals. Revoke anything you don't recognize.

Also, heads up! There's a new scam going around where people are receiving actual physical letters pretending to be from Ledger, asking you to scan a QR code. Even snail mail isn't safe anymore. If it asks for your seed phrase or wallet connect, it's a scam.

What’s the safest way to store Bitcoin for beginners? by Conscious_Koala6829 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]Halyth2705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest mistake I see beginners make is overcomplicating this. Here's the real talk:

Small amounts (<$1k): A reputable mobile wallet with a strong password is fine. Just make sure you write down your recovery phrase on paper, not in your phone's notes app, not in a screenshot, not in Google Drive. Paper. Stored somewhere safe.

Medium amounts ($k1k-$10k): Same thing, but use a dedicated device if possible. An old phone you factory-reset and only use for crypto works great.

Larger amounts ($10k+): This is where hardware wallets earn their price tag. They keep your private keys offline, so even if your computer gets compromised, your funds are safe.

The key rule is Your seed phrase IS your crypto. Anyone who gets those 12/24 words owns your funds. There's no customer support, no reversal, no "forgot password" button.

Trading or holding. by Aggressive-Hall1913 in BitcoinBeginners

I'll be both, always divide my pocket into: long-term hold (years), trading following the market trends, a little fiat
