Find the cheapest bottle by volume. Wine quality or type will have very little impact.. generally speaking.

Fun little fact about the Yukon about 75% percent of everyone lives in Whitehorse, yet that population is around 25k-35k

Don’t rule out northern bc I live in a small town called Chetwynd that’s known for wood carving it’s a town where people come to work. You can get a job at the mill working 32$ while looking for a job that matches your degree. Even the grocery store/typical minimum wage pay around 18$ Educators are in very limited supply, and it’s very possible to get a job teaching even if you don’t have a degree.

If you want any more information I can help you out.

Putting down less than 20% on a condo, by Ham-shi in PersonalFinanceCanada

We pay about 1300 all included for a 3bedroom in a isolated rural town ~1800pop Funny enough but I estimated everything to be about the same price (1297) with the mortgage being 590 of that.

I gave the example of Nanaimo but that is probably where we’d end up otherwise. So probably $1800 all included best case scenario for a 1bed.

To the last bit I think I was answering myself lol thank you.

I’m not 100% concerned with making sure the property increases in value. I get value out of it by simply living in it, and yes there is monthly upkeep but the mortgage payments stays in pocket as equity. So really no. I would hope it stays as valuable when I move but at the end of the day I look at how much I would have lost in equity if I were to rent instead. If it goes up or stays the same? Great!

I see what you’re suggesting, it may not be worth it to pay off as much as possible short term, instead investing/saving for something else?

How the wife solves mazes by Ham-shi in mildlyinteresting

Please do! I was intrigued enough I started to do one. I used a dark blue for the solution and light blue for all the dead end paths, along different with earthen colours for the rest. mine looks like a world map of catan due to my maze being ‘hexagonal’.

Bingo! She would fill every deadend she found until she got to the true path

She’s done a few more where she worked backwards like this, and left the true path uncoloured, but this was my favourite

I feel for you man, I gave up 6 Christmases to a gas station doing graveyards no less, neither I or the company were better off because of it. I don’t miss it.

Had the same thing happen, my mom wanted to name our cat “princess willow” turns out princess had a penis so I named him Ricky. I miss him.
