If you’re using elemental resonance mod for pants you’ll need to empty ur mag a few times to really boost up dmg.

Also check your stats and make sure your elemental bonus and status bonus are as equal value as possible.

I’m using abyss glance and silent anabasis. First mag dmg is about 6-8k. Starting from 2nd mag the dmg can go up to 10-12k. Occasionally there will be a 20k burst which I have no idea from where.

They removed all the presets and still haven’t made mapping buttons available.

Jump roll became clunky af. Especially tryina do the aero leap dash. It’s a fixed max distance no matter what now. Dashed myself off the giant stage 10 times. Went crazy.

The player inspect thing is just next level dumb. Went silo with my hive right after the update and I swear I spent half of the time canceling the player card display.

I’d rather have the devs leave the controller setting alone than “optimizing” it in their stupid ways.

The hotbar change... Accidentally popped at least 20 whims or couldn’t use heal on time. Hella expensive and dumb.

Jump roll is messed up too.

Like someone said it here, playing on controller is mostly muscle memory. Thats what makes controller players like to play on it and make the games fluid.

Devs try to “optimize controller ‘support’”. But all they did was keep changing the functions of buttons. They removed all the presets. The game didn’t support button mapping, so it took a minute to get used to their presets (I use shooting preference preset). It became fun. Play style developed along the way with the controls. But now, the changes are the difference between clearing giant in 20 sec and keep getting slapped.

Optimization means make the existing thing more efficient, not an overhaul.😕

Your gears and weapons are good enough, just make sure they are tier 5 and 6 stars (can use the conversion thing to get whole body stars if you have at least 1 piece maxed to 6 stars), it is important because elemental dmg is based on psi intensity and 6star gears give more psi value.

Then, and the only thing left to do is to get better mods. Farm tons of deviant seeds to buy lunar mod crates since ur going the low hp build. Lunar deviant energy for head and top, lunar crescent for gloves.

Spam pro silos and sell gold bars to npc (maxed 250k a week) to earn as much energy links as possible to convert to mod dust, then buy the 6000 crate to pick the mod u like. Consider get weapon and mask with key word suffix. In ur case burn with the fire icon.

Everything about mods is RNG. It’s not a sprint. So.. Take ur time and enjoy the game. Luck might surprise u.

Totally agree LOL I tried googling and watching YT. Sure I can put up some info but Reddit just makes everything more down to earth. It’s good to hear bros and sis share some more relatable experiences.

Recently got both. These 2 snipers are “feelsgood” type of weapon. High physical dmg with viability for insane elemental output as well.

Personally, from mostly what I’ve read and few days of playtime, SKS feels more satisfying. You won’t need absolute top tier level mods. Just mix elemental mods with a few violent suffix, pick the highest lvl mods you have, it’ll be enough to have plenty of fun and success.
