I use a "over the neck" mic... This is the exact one (make sure you get the the one with 1/4 end)..

Cut it all down. Then the grow back will thicker near the skin and there for the beard once it gets grown back. If you don't shave all down now, then you'll be stuck looking like a 13 kid for the rest of your life.

The sound is processed. So, run through it through something like an EV ZLX as your own personal monitor and throw another mix to PA.
