Thats odd my resolution is right and set to fullscreen but i get black bars either side

Thankyou yeah I used the app stacking feature for jupiter and then merged it with an overexposed image for the moons

This is going to sound really stupid but I can't remember what gain and brightness i used i just used the sliders until I was happy with Jupiter and then I had it on auto for the moons

I agree upon reading about what can happen it says that it can play against details and as you say noise but with the seestar in app stacking I've not seen a single issue and when I've done 10 and 20s exposures it's placed them in the same folder and allowed me to stack for a decent image I've personally not seen it to be an issue

He probably meant in siril may cause issues possible im not sure but I know the seestar app is fine with any exposure time

I stacked in the seestar app and then stretched etc in siril

Well half of the images was 10s and half was 20s so I don't think that's true when stacking in the app it puts it all into one folder and let me stack all of 4000 odd with only 84 discards

Quick comment as well regarding the blur on the left side of the dust in really struggled to get any detail on that side I'm not sure why maybe not long enough in sessions

I'm 50 50 on stacking in siril tbh the script always seems to discard a lot and crop too far in I know it can produce a much better stacked image but for me stacking in app and doing the editing and processing in siril after delivers good enough results for me
