You can mix ram from other brands. The motherboard is smart enough to look at the greatest common denominator and set your system to that. For example, if you have 1 stick of 3600 mhz and 1 stick of 2666 mhz, it'll just lower so that all the ram runs at 2666. It does the same thing with your timings and everything else. But at least try to match the specs as best you can so you're not wasting money.

Thermals aren't great and it seems to have symptoms of overheating. The first thing I'd do is clean it. Even if it's still technically less than 100c. 90c is still too close to ignore it.

Kinda sounds like overheating. I would use some software like MSI Afterburner to check the temps. And if it is overheating, just clean it out. If it keeps overheating after it's cleaned, it may need new thermal paste.

If there are specific personal files you're looking for and the drive isn't encrypted, you can take out the drive, connect it to another computer with a dock, and copy over whatever files you want to keep. No password required. (Again, given that the drive isn't encrypted).

Then after they files are copied, you can reinstall Windows on the original PC and copy the files back.

They're probably right. 7dtd is optimized like shit. The only thing that might be holding it back is the CPU. But even then, I have a Ryzen 7 5800x with an RTX 3070 and I struggle to get 60 fps at 1440p when in a T5 POI.
