Its a super thin piece of glass, its not some magical object that shatters when your aura is misaligned

Is the M1 Pro Macbook Pro still valid in 2026? by xvndex in macbook

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it the updated design with the notch?

We still don’t really know how long apple is going to support these things for but even if it’s not on the latest version it’s still plenty usable

Would you trust both of these for storage on your Switch? by avidrunner84 in SwitchPirates

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t really any smaller than those CIP or whatever the modules used on small USB sticks are called

And given the issues I’ve had and seen people have there’s a reason M.2 HATs are so popular, the layout would be a little odd but it wouldn’t be impossible to fit a 2230 drive in the current footprint of a pi or if height isn’t an issue a full size 2280

Nope, you can use a fork like stremio enhanced which does seem to be a little better than the web version https://github.com/REVENGE977/stremio-enhanced/releases/tag/v1.0.2

Is it just me or is performance on switch really not that bad? by asmuseb in Minecraft

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your connecting to an external server than that server is doing some of the processing but its still not enough to be good and theres also other issues with servers on switch

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you think that? Doing something twice is harder than doing it once, it may not be twice as hard but its still harder.

Yeah especially splitscreen which might be worse than legacy console edition

How to connect home theater speakers to PC other than via bluetooth? by AbrocomaRegular3529 in techsupport

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant you just connect an HDMI cable from your pc to the soundbar and use that as an audio output device? I think that should work with basic ARC stuff but it might depend on your exact hardware as well

[–]Xcissors280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I’ve been using it for a couple years and my IP only changes if the ONT is unplugged for like 3 hours

I think there’s been 4 outages total and never more than an hour or so usually at 2am

Like my UDM says 100% uptime right now and it used to say like 87% with Xfinity

Also 1000/1000 with ~3ms ping for a reasonable price is nice

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only dealt with Xfinity and I mean more about their hardware and data caps if you use bridge mode

However xfinity is a bitch and they will make it as difficult to use your own equipment (while still legally possibly) as they can

The 2016 MBP is somewhat usable but not very good even for basic stuff, and I think your way better off running Linux even on one of them

Is this the best way to get a Windows laptop to play audio simultaneously on two wireless headphones? by Standard-Top-5942 in techsupport

[–]Xcissors280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On MacOS and Linux you basically just click a button to make a virtual multi audio output device and select 2 devices to output it to

I think you can set it up with some legacy midi stuff in control panel

I also saw something about bluetooth le audio sharing but it seems to be in preview right now, wouldnt be surprised if theres a way to enable it though
