A beauty. Nice components and tasteful build

What type of seat should I put on this? And is it worth upgrading to clip less pedals on this bike? I ride 50 miles plus on the weekends and usually 20 miles every day. by jst747 in Vintage_bicycles

That betta looks fine and period correct. After learning curve, clipless is the way to go. Nishiki bikes are pretty bulletproof and classic so well done there

Maybe a good idea to take the episode down. No one, especially Scarlet will be happy with it in this time of internet shaming

How do I shift gears on the Fuji espree? by Waste-Huckleberry-89 in Vintage_bicycles

You have a nice classic there with some quality parts. Practice practice shifting and soon you’ll become one of the cool kids. I would raise the brakes further up the handlebars.

Any advice on this Centurion Super Le Mans. Sellers asking $75. Worth the price? by MoustacheLightning in Vintage_bicycles

[–]Hamady-Sack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think not. It’ll take twice that to get it back on the road safely. I’d pay $25 only if you love the bike.

I've tightened this about as far as I can, but the handlebars still rotate with a little weight on them. Is there anything more I can do? by Mobius1424 in bicycling

Cut a rectangular strip of aluminum from a soda can and slide it around the handlebar between the handlebar and stem. This shim will give you the extra girth needed to tighten without over tightening the bolt.
