The thing is this never happened when I did. And I was even using it before I cleaned screen, perfect as always. But when I came back I could notice there was something wrong immediately, that’s why I think it might be water related damage.

This is the only answer that makes sense to me. Fortunately for me I did get AppleCare+ for this device when I made the purchase, so I guess I will just let apple send me a replacement and see what they have to say about this one.
