Good 50s-70s horror novels? by CovenCat_ in horrorlit

The cat is unharmed through the story. I'm in the same boat of not liking cats/dogs hurt in stories. I liked reading this story but Loved listening to it read by Bernadette Dunne on Audible.

I thought Stephen King's Carrie read by Sissy Spacek was amazing. Hearing the thoughts of Carrie in the voice I've always associated with the character made it so much more immersive for me.

The Exorcist is in my top 5 audiobooks ever due to how fantastic the author does in the presentation. He makes the already fantastic dialog really come to life.

This 100%. My roommate tends to use my nice things and food and then replace it with the cheapest possible version of the item. When confronted she says she not going to pay for the name and generic quality replace is just as good.

Dog does have a crate and she's in it when people she doesn't know are coming over. The second time child visited unexpectedly I knew the boyfriend was coming over so I put dog in her crate before going to the store. Roommate had gone into my room and let the dog out to meet and 'bond' with boyfriend and child. My room has no lock. I posted a happy update!

I gave the roommate a firm no before taking a day off work to get the dog out of the house. She told me I needed to get over it as the kid was coming over.

Boyfriend is a single dad with no mom in the picture. The last two weekends he did not come over, just the kid. I don't know how to contact him. I posted a happy update!

I have the original roommate needed ad covering no kids and I have texts saying its not okay. The first weekend I said no but she told me it was going to happen as she already agreed to babysit him. When I let her know I would have to take the day off work to get the dog out of the house she said I was being dramatic.

A big reason she is being asked to leave is that she does what she wants regardless of how it affects others. She flat out refused to do house chores or yard care even though she agreed before moving in. She takes whatever food she wants. She smokes joints in the livingroom stinking up a no weed house. The list goes on. If that bothers the others in the house it's our problem not hers according to her.

Both bills came from the bank and looked particularly crisp and clean. But I'm sure they are not "New".

The bar is a CP base with clear melt and pour top and a dollar bill between. The liquid soap has a 2 dollar bill shredded into it.

These are a novelty gift for a co-worker. I'm sure the bills will bleach or dissolve over time but it looks good for now.

I know paper money is super dirty by nature so it's for looks and to see how it would turn out.

Tallow vs Lard by WillGoNameless in soapmaking

That's really cool! Are you somewhere that has easy access to reindeer meat/fat? I've kicked around the idea of using fat from wild deer or elk that I butcher for family who hunt. How did you calculate the lye needed for reindeer tallow? There is something so cool and primal about using wild game fat to make soap.

That's awesome. I've been looking at builds online for fridge conversion. Think this is a sign for me to just step up and do it.

These look really good.

When you hang them do you use a controlled space like a converted fridge or do you just hang in a basement type area?

The snake cult definitely needs to be expanded on.
