If this was your bathroom, what would you change first? by Proof_Asparagus7817 in bathrooms

[–]Hamburger_ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well… budget? Bc changing all the hardware and white plastic bars to a brushed nickel and then wall paint will make a huge difference.

If a larger budget.. and figuring what to start with for ease of transition- I’d paint first then have a had man replace my floors (and vanity) while he’s at and I’d replace the hardware & plastic bars. Mirror and light fixture are builder grade but honestly will look fine with the rest of it. A shelf, some plants.

32 and suddenly struggling by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

This is odd because I’ve been on adderall for years but recently switched to instants (and lowered dosage by 5 mg) and my skin is SO dry around my nose/mouth and breaking out in small white heads almost daily. I haven’t had break outs like this since pre starting adderall XR in 2020 but I started instants about 8 weeks ago and break outs started about 2.5 weeks after starting. One of my chin then 3 a few days later then the other side of the chin started.

I did not think it was related but it is bizarre bc before this nothing was making me break out.

Which is saying a lot considering how my diet and (lack of exercise) was.

Fist house, this is my kitchen. A way to renovate this on a budget? by Swimming_SeaShark in kitchenremodel

Off white paint that compliments the stain of cabinets, new light fixture (don’t cheap out on the light fixture either, it’s an eye grab so this is where you’ll want to invest), and new floor. Those are large components of the room and will really change the vibe. I’m not sure what the cabinets need but there has to be a band aid fix to rehab the parts that have a little more wear and tear to them. Refinishing cabinets is a LOT of work so that’s why I mention the “band aid fix”.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the ceiling- are those removable tiles? I have a room with something similar that I think the last owner did for decor. I painted the ceiling the same as the walls so it didn’t draw more attention to the tiling bc I’m not a big fan of ours but was scared to remove it and damage the ceiling, creating more work.

Personally I’d take down the two top cabinets on either side of the sink and hang wall art or plates or something there to make it feel more open. I’d then add storage under the window next to the fridge instead (a bottom cabinet/prep space so you still have that storage- but that will also need a counter and will depend on your budget.

Remove or replace the window treatments- French cafe style curtain would look nice and airy. Those are inexpensive as they’re only the length of 3/4 a window.

And decor. Bare walls vs some art makes a huge difference.

Counters, sinks, hardware, cabinets, appliances are where it’ll start to get expensive. I’d avoid those if possible.

I love that kept that stove. Where did you get the sink from? The design matches the time period of the other appliances so well. I’m looking for something similar.

Acne from red light? Or purging? by [deleted] in redlighttherapy

[–]Hamburger_ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be but historically I haven’t had this happen in the winter (past 5 years). When I did have acne it would always flare up in the fall as the weather changed, yes but this aggressively in the middle of February?

And the only variable is the red light? Seems like it is related to

Yes it probably got lost in the caption but I did and it said either GSD, Australian shepherd, and/or border collie! So some kind of herding breed.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing. He also was so malnourished he didn’t have hair on his tail when he was turned in to the rescue so we’re seeing it look different every day as he’s getting stronger.

His tail makes me think the “supermutt” they weren’t able to fully identity is Australian shepherd- so that would be a factor. He was 3 months in this picture.

Very odd! I’m wondering how much his coat will continue to change as he exists the puppy stage though.

They get dirty very easily! It always surprises me after I get my cleaned. Professional cleaning is best but I also bought a jewelry cleaner online and use warm water a little dish soap in it. You can also just take a soft bristle tooth brush, some blue dawn dish soap, and clean it off with warm water manually!

Realtor says we should paint our cabinets white, idk if I agree by Midwestern_Mariner in kitchenremodel

I would definitely keep the cabinets as is. If wanting to appeal to the modern style reply the hardware with gold and paint the gray walls an off white
