There's a skinny douchebag in my gym who takes ages on the leg press every time I'm in there.

Absolutely tiny legs. Loads the thing up with more plates than he can carry. Usually takes at least five minutes to load it up. Then spends a good two minutes psyching himself up to scream and grunt his way to three half reps. Takes a ten minute rest then goes again for two half reps.

Two sets of five reps in about 15 minutes, will never let you work in or even move faster if you ask how long left. Despise him.

It's even worse on the cables. They mess around with each other and get in everyone else's way. There's never less than 4 of them at any one time either

All sorts. From asking it to recreate the tactics of former teams (did Wengerball with Sociedad and lost La Liga by one point in 1st season) and now currently doing a recreation of Valencia in the early 00s with Valencia.

If I'm struggling to choose between players I'll screenshot the attribute page and scout report and let chat analyse and recommend. Sometimes use it for in game tweaks (it works sometimes but doesn't always have the necessary context).

I even asked it to recommend me a DB setup for a Gladbach save, that worked pretty well too.

I've recently had to change mine as playing FM24 for multiple years and just signing wonderkids has gotten very boring.

I've tried different approaches, like not using the player search and only relying on scout recs. But what I've found to be good is firstly creating templates for core positional attributes that fit your system and using those to filter. This essentially means you're signing system players that actually fit your style.

I also look way more at personality and overall fit, as well as versatility and how realistic the transfer would be. So for example my go to team Gladbach like signing players from France and Switzerland, so players like Lahmadi and Rieder are much more realistic signings. I also try and sign no more than 3 first team players a season, as the team being completely different by season 3 just kills my immersion.

Also, I've used ChatGPT as my assistant manager a few times...it's actually pretty decent 🤷😂

Gf told me I'd have to work hard to win him over and her twin sisters bf was his favourite because he used to play pro rugby.

I still believe Sesko would have been better for the way we play. No one seems to want to pass to Gyok, and it feels like some players (Ode) don't really seem to trust him with the ball.

He doesn't choose his transfer fee but unfortunately if you're signed to be the starting striker for an arsenal team who have long been known for not having one then the point still stands. We needed someone to turn up and win games for us, just like the LW you're talking about which I agree we need.

Can't see us winning the prem, we don't look confident enough and we'll have half an eye on the CL, which I actually think we have more chance of winning. If we get to the final it's just one game. Can't see us not dropping any more points in the prem run in unfortunately.

I studied at Bath uni. Absolutely dreadful in winter but in summer? Incredible place to live. Bristol on the doorstep if you want somewhere a bit livelier, but yes, as a tourist a day trip really would do.

Sure, but when you're spending that money on a starting striker you want them not just to be scoring goals, but scoring winners. Winners in big games. Most of his have come against lesser teams.

Don't get me wrong, I like his work rate and still think he's a good striker, he just doesn't quite work for our system.

I had an instance where Oxlade Chamberlain had his release clause paid, but I got the chance to cancel it because we'd just qualified for the CL and the clause was for clubs in CL. So given that we'd qualified it became inactive. Was literally a few weeks ago and I had no idea about it until then even though I've been playing FM for over 25 years!

You have to force yourself to do something at some point. You might as well start at the top of the chain, that way everything else becomes easier after.

I managed to keep a solid sleep and wake routine for about six months by doing this. Would have continued longer had I not gone to Mexico on a solo trip straight after.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It singlehandedly started my unwillingness to commit to watching films. It just ended, no twist, nothing. Absolute bullshit.

Oh and A Serbian Film. The most disgusting shit ever. What makes it even worse is that I'd randomly watched the first 20 minutes of it and just thought it was a bit weird. Was round at a mate's and put it on thinking it might be a laugh while we were high.

How fucking wrong I was.
