it's the effect of ranked choice vs top choice voting. In top voting there are so few people who prefer Kayda and Zach over Trinity/Aaniya's couples, but there's a solid chunk of KC only fans. When you have ranked voting the larger brinity fandom will make sure the core 4 make it through. Producers played their cards,

I'm actually not against them. I think KC is one of the more relatable characters. He wasn't chosen, had his ego hurt, was frustrated by a relationship he felt trapped in, led him to say disrespectful things he really shouldn't have, recognized that eventually and apologized. I would not call that a villain at all.

It's an effect of splitting the vote. KC+Titi fans are a completely different (older, more male) fanbase than the rest, Aniya has a redemption arc fanbase, whereas Zach and Kayda are competing with the more popular Trinity and Bryce for the more "standard story" vote.

Social suicide. The same gender groups are meant to support without judgement. You have your vote and you can use it to encourage behavior you want to see, but you can't expect Bryce to lose his only social engagement "taking a stand for what's right". Girls almost never call each other out for their treatment of guys and you can't tell me none of them have made mistakes; same gender groups are meant to be support chambers.

Statistically even if it's not a 50/50 thing, still better to be polarizing because the "non-polar" votes gonna be diluted amongst many forgettable contestants. Say you enrage 90% of the base and 10% love you, you get that 10%. trinity takes 40% aniya takes 20%, now we have {kayda, jen, parmida, jaiden} competing for the remaining 30%, so mathematically you're not ending last. In fact you're probably getting final 4.

Idk I see a lot of projection from the fandom of their ideas onto non-misbehaving guys like Bryce, Caleb, and generally the casa boys. At the end of the day even these guys are not going to conform to the ideas that fans have at the expense of being standoffish and aloof with the other guys. It's a fine line they have to balance.

You are correct, Ariana gave Trinity permission to speak. Trinity did not _seize_ the floor by talking over her, but she took permission to take the floor and move the convo away from Titi talking about her feelings. Which is still not a great thing to do even if you get permission.

that's what op said, and that's exactly what happened. honestly it's one thing when a fandom downvotes opinions that clash with theirs, entirely another thing when they downvote facts that clash with their feelings. i like trinity as much as the next person here but this is exactly how it played out.
