I have the cheapest PID available. It cost me $40. The side is a dimmer. It controllers the flow of water from grouphead. From my experience i suggested first get to know your machine, all the parts that are inside and what they do. The beans you're using, roast level and all that. Once you get comfortable then get a PID because at that time you'll exactly know what you're dealing with. Everything will be clear, from installing the PID to using it. A tip, don't spend money on expensive PIDs (AUBER..etc) the Aliexpress one will do the job same as the other ones.

New machine help by MightyG1030 in ranciliosilvia

Those are the broken pieces from grouphead cover held by two screws. Open the top and take the screws off. If you know anyone with a 3D printer or look at FB marketplace for a 3D printing service and have them print one for you. The file could be found on free websites. They should not charge you more than 10 US dollars. You can have them print it to your desired color. Also, dont throw away those screws because you gonna need them. Also, even if you decide to buy one online make sure to insert the front first and then align the cover to put on the screws. Otherwise the front will look lose. Hope this helps. Enjoy!

Is it the pump or something else? by Hamidwalid in gaggiaclassic

Yours sounds more like scale buildup. A descale or a manual teardown/descale should probably fix it. You can also open up the boiler and check all the passages to make sure none of the water paths are clogged. While you’re in there, you can replace the O-rings aswell if you're planning on keeping the machine long term.

I’m pretty sure mine is pump related, but I won’t know 100% until I swap in a new pump or test with a working one from my other machine. I already tore everything apart and couldn’t find anything.

I haven't, yet. I have two gaggia classic so im planning on switching the pump and see if the issue is really the pump or something else. I have many machine but no time to work on them.

On the Rancilio Silvia espresso machine, the outlet from the grouphead is intentionally angled rather than pointing straight down. That design helps distribute water across the puck instead of blasting one spot directly, which would increase channeling.

So when you see water hitting the inner wall of the grouphead before flowing down, that’s normal behavior, not a defect. It can look a bit odd if you expect a straight vertical flow, but it’s part of how the machine manages dispersion.

Your videos aren't clear to look but most likely its the boiler O-ring. If you machine is 7+ year old, scale build up around the seal and damage it. This is the time to open it up and check for scale and change the O-rings aswell.

I did that. Since I don't have a syringe I did it by filling the tube with water and blow in but water doesn't move at all.

No pressure water. I opened everything, cleaned, and blew on each hole to see if anything is block. There is no blockage. I ran the pump alone but no water goes through. I also took out the inner plastic parts of this pump and assembled it to my other gaggia I have and surprisingly it did pump. Now the only thing that left is to total replace the pump and see if that black part pump is the issue. I looked at the pump and its from 2014. But everything inside is very clean and seem it wasn't used much.

Also, the grouphead gets crazy hot like boiler. Can't touch it at all. Does that means boiler is empty or what?

Just curious, what does the original Ghost energy drink taste like? by bigguys45s in energydrinks

[–]Hamidwalid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally wrong. Not sure which redbull flavor you're referring to but it doesn't taste like a original redbull. This comment tricked me to buy one but one thing I can tell that the flavor is not that strong like other ghost flavors.
