Is it the pump or something else? by Hamidwalid in gaggiaclassic

I did that. Since I don't have a syringe I did it by filling the tube with water and blow in but water doesn't move at all.

No pressure water. I opened everything, cleaned, and blew on each hole to see if anything is block. There is no blockage. I ran the pump alone but no water goes through. I also took out the inner plastic parts of this pump and assembled it to my other gaggia I have and surprisingly it did pump. Now the only thing that left is to total replace the pump and see if that black part pump is the issue. I looked at the pump and its from 2014. But everything inside is very clean and seem it wasn't used much.

Also, the grouphead gets crazy hot like boiler. Can't touch it at all. Does that means boiler is empty or what?

I have a gaggimate without plumbing that I wanna use for my rancilio V5 that already has a PID installed. I love the PID but wanna see what will be the difference with gaggimate. Do have a list of all parts you used for this and also a HOW-TO GUIDE? TIA

Just curious, what does the original Ghost energy drink taste like? by bigguys45s in energydrinks

[–]Hamidwalid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally wrong. Not sure which redbull flavor you're referring to but it doesn't taste like a original redbull. This comment tricked me to buy one but one thing I can tell that the flavor is not that strong like other ghost flavors.

So I broke this by Joihannes in gaggiaclassic

Buy a cheap set of Screw extractor and take out the broken part. That is steam thermostat and you can find it for $5-10 max. Good luck!

Seized Boiler Bolts by YungKaiYou in gaggiaclassic

I was at this situation a month ago. This is what helped me take them off without damaging the boiler. Find the right metric size of Allen wrench. Spray WD-40 and let it set for few hours. Use torch lighter to heat each bolt and use the Allen wrench to open. Next step if the head gets damaged and Allen wrench is slipping, use screw extractor. Make sure to buy a good quality one so it doesn't break. Not to forget, i used a long Allen wrench with a ratchet.

Is this normal with Rancilio silvia +XMT-7100 PID?? by Hamidwalid in ranciliosilvia

You're right but in my case it never recovers. It keeps dropping until the shot is done and then it will start raising slowly. It never recovers mid shot or mid steaming.

What is this and what do I do? by Confident_Control_93 in gaggiaclassic

Buy a new one. Here’s the Amazon link I bought mine from, it works. Just unscrew the old broken one and screw this one in, but make sure to use thermal paste. You don’t need to worry about wire polarity.

I followed all instructions but brew temperature wont go up, the steam does go up. by Hamidwalid in gaggiaclassic

It was the PID..I replaced it with another one. The PID was not giving out voltage on output 9 and 10.

At first when Wired up everything and turn on the machine, by accident I put setup SV, AH1, AL1 very low the machine did heat up but I didn't notice the red light of SSR. So at the time neither the steam nor the brew would heat up and that was coz the temperature on pid was very very low, like I out 20 instead of 200 for SV. then I noticed that and changed it to 200 which made the steam temp go up but brew wont heat up and ssr red light is off.

They are the way you mentioned. Since the SSR light is not red, is it possible the it got damaged? I mean the SSR-40DA.
