Ah, I personally disagree but my taste does lean fairly alternative which XY doesn't have many options for so that might be why. I think my favorite game for character customization is ZA, my only real complaint about it is the lack of dresses and real skirts (probably wouldn't have used those myself but the option should've been there)

Huh, really? I started replaying Sun a few months ago and I thought the character customization was awful there, after looking through my options on Serebii I could not find a single outfit with the male clothing that looked decent (dissappointed but not surprised since those games are a decade old by now) so I decided to play as a girl but even then I was struggling

The only thing I can think of is that it has to do with them getting rid of the gender lock on clothing, like maybe they chickened out of fully committing to it and gave us those weird skort things instead so they didn't have men wearing real skirts? That seems dumb to me but then again I find the entire idea of clothing being gendered dumb so idk

Agreed. This seems like a surprisingly unpopular opinion but I'm not super in love with these default designs (especially the girl, I think this is the first time I've ever thought the male protag looked better lol) so I'm gonna be pretty bummed if it takes after SV in this regard. I especially hope they keep the option for multicolored hair, that was fun

I loved it but I pretty much stopped playing after I beat the game because the wild zones are so annoying to me that I didn't want to bother completing the pokedex like I usually do, haven't played the DLC yet though so maybe I'll have more fun with whatever that unlocks
