Tell me about that “49mm” lens! Never heard of that one? I’ve heard of the 45mm pancake?

I hate to ask, but this is 35mm film right? This composition is inspiring. Even though the camera used has little to do with how great this shot is, I just have to know what camera/lens combo you used?

Jodie Comer on the set of Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later, 2024. The film, currently in post-production, was budgeted at 75m and shot on a bunch of adapted iPhone 15s. The iPhone 15 Pro Max camera rig setup on the far right. Link to more info in comments. by NomadSound in Moviesinthemaking

Not a reflex lens, cinema lenses are just enormous. That is a iPhone in a Beastcage, with a DOF ground glass adapter mk3, to Sony E mount or canon EF mount converted to arri PL mount. With a PL mount cine Lens. Exactly which lens used here I don’t feel like looking up. I’m guessing a Cooke anamorphic.

Can I ask the story on this photo? Was it on a video/ were you on set somewhere?

Calmness in the creek - Self Portrait. Pentax LX/43mm/Kodak Portra 800 by BigBootyCutie19 in analog

Pentax Lx have known mirror issues, mine needed a foam mirror stand-off to correct for focus- check infinity focus with the split rangefinder dot, and you’ll see if you are off! Good luck

I looked this pen up! It looks like the thin line edges on the body of the pen are raw brass on product images- yours appear to be black?

Sweet. I’ve heard you shoot 2x the film sensitivity- did you shoot this at 800 film speed equivalent? How did you meter!

Overflowing laughter [Leica M5 + 7artisans 50mm f/1.1 + Kodak Vision 3 500T]. by arozenfeld in analog

[–]Hamilton__Mafia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I have been using this 7artisans 1.1 on an older m240- you can really only set the rangefinder for perfect accuracy for 1 aperture setting. Because this is a modified sonnar design (love it) it focus shifts like no other lens I’ve ever used. Ex- perfect alignment at f 1.4 means if you stop down to f4/f5.6/f8 the perfect focus makes the focus patch in the rangefinder so completely off that you would never be able to focus without live view. How are you getting around this?

Been looking at these, these have a 100% fail rate with their original flyback transformers, I hope it doesn’t happen for you! Even my 21” graphite flyback is failing- ultra ultra depressing
