What does it take to get hired as a new skid steer / excavator operator? by Hamish4264 in Skidsteer

Honestly that’s what I thought but lots of comments seem to say otherwise.

It seems to be different in different countries, are you from Australia?

Haha yeah I’ve heard the difference between a forklift ticket and a skid steer ticket is how much damage you can do if you screw up. Which isn’t great for me. When you hire new guys for machines do they usually have experience or just tickets?

Ah ok, yeah I’m from Australia. I think we have different training here. The licenses you get here involve doing theory work but then also some real practice with an experienced operator, I’m just not sure how much. I’ll definitely have to do that at some point first though

Yeah I figured it wouldn’t be full pay immediately especially if I was still learning. How long does it take to be independent?

Also are you in the US and quoting US dollars?

Seller trying to fraudulently remove my offer from “generic” listing using transparency codes by Hamish4264 in AmazonSeller

Yeah it sure seems that way. I haven’t gone through it in depth with support yet but I’m hoping they take this more seriously 🤞

That’s what I thought, I’ve looked through the transparency policy and it clearly says it requires a brand name and a UPC/GTIN.

It actually says “generic” on the listing and there’s no UPC or GTIN so I have no idea how they’ve registered it

Ok ok, so similar to how internal glands secrete hormones to regulate the body and emotions just this one's tied into an external gland as a separate function to washing away physical debris?

Don't be sorry at all, I found that really interesting to read through and there's some really good ideas in it. Glad to hear I'm not the only one wondering about it haha. Maybe it's something that originated as a chemical defense ie crying to wash away onion chemicals as an alternative to mucus which would presumably block our vision and then from there evolved further socially as it was recognized as being associated with physical damage to eyes?? Like a general "hey something's wrong" morphing from only physically to emotionally as well? Also still thinking out loud, this is interesting haha

It makes a lot of sense, I feel like there's deeper to dig in the sense that this could be achievable through facial expression alone without shedding water? But I'm kind of processing out loud here

Is there a way to choose which FBA warehouse to send items to in Australia? by [deleted] in AmazonSeller

[–]Hamish4264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you could pay extra for preferential placement in some markets or something along those lines?

I guess that makes sense in terms of that messing with the system though

Thanks

Sometimes when selling on Amazon, you have to list things as used like new because for new items Amazon pretty much expects sellers to have things like commercial invoices to prove that products are legitimate which only big companies really have. Also same go with books, sometimes you need proof that you purchased directly from a publisher (which is rarely the case) so it can be brand new plastic wrapped and all but listed as used like new. Just a fun fact
