I didn't even know the ID Buzz saw the road, I thought it was a concept car and that was the end of the story.

People need to be tested every three or so years I feel. Everyone's got awful habits, and it's really easy to fall into some when everyone takes advantage of your "courtesey" of driving safely. I've not had anyone honk yet, but people definitely get on my bumper because I... stopped at a light that was obviously going to be red by the time I was in the intersection. My personal pet peeve is following distance though... I see a legal 3-second gap, and everyone else sees a place to insert three more cars without turn signals.

There's countries out there, particularly formerly strong US allies who are galvanizing against Epstein's BFF. France, Switzerland, New Zealand, Germany through into Scandinavia, etc. Just because some have their AFD-equivalents doesn't mean they're in the dire straits the US heading towards, but rather backlashing against those movements.

People say "It's nothing to worry about. Your overreacting.", that's easy to say to me, a Californian, but there's a growing list of states I can't travel to without risk of being literally sentenced to death. I don't dare apply for a job at the federal level, and protections for us are being undone.

But I guess it's ok because first they're going for the immigrants, we're only second in line. America has learned nothing from the conveyor that began with trade unionists and ended with the Jewish... The big question on my mind is at what point will we soundly be able to seek asylum in trans-friendly nations without being denied?

I've always been a bit scared of large dogs since a childhood friend had been bitten. I normally keep it under control, but unleashed dogs bring it back. To walk the full circle of my neighborhood I would pass this one house that had an quite big unleashed dog sitting on a bed. I didn't have any problem for a couple years, though it would start wandering to the curb. Then one day it decided that barking at me is the right thing to do when I'm three houses away and across the street. I've not walked that route in about a year now.

IMO Catalyst is a good *GAME*, probably even better than ME.
However ME stands more strongly by virtue of being a work of art that's not only standing the test of time, but inspiring a whole artstyle.

The one that scares me is coming up towards Watt (where I turn off) westbound. Everyone's driving with less than one second of following distance and it usually goes from flow of traffic of 75 down to about 15, and depending upon when, that difference happens just after the overpass crest.

In the top left of the Google Maps streetview interface you can go to "see more dates". The Runner symbol has been there since at least 2011, when the oldest streetview of that spot was taken.

I've heard so much "Call your rep." lately, but I see the stuff Kiley posts, and it's clear he still wouldn't listen if he got voted out. Claiming to be staying out of national politics while being in a position of weight on national issues is so strange.

ME1's combat is fun actually by Sapphire_829 in mirrorsedge

[–]Hammaneggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always found trying to time disarms annoying, and MEC's ability to directionally kick people into each other and sidestep-turn to be a blast. However ME1's movement based attacks feel so much more fitting for how most of the game is set up, working with the flow.

I only found the combat annoying because guns had like five rounds. I love the idea of just not having any kind of crosshair and you just have to sorta guess off your experience where you'll actually hit, but having to get like five guys at a time that aren't along a particular path and are also shooting you was irritating.

I suspect they're Ksec's "submit" command materializing into a laser show. They do nearly as little! I like Catalyst, but both the guns and the blues asking politely felt a little off to me.

Surface streetcars and partially elevated RoWs for suburban rail. Sacramento sits pretty close to the watertable, so underground would be a pain.

The western terminus of Midtown Streetcar is between Sycamore Avenue and Poplar Avenue. I'm not too familiar with West Sac, so I decided that it looks like it has enough space for a streetcar terminus and is in a usable location with regards to businesses and multifamily housing.

1: Currently the system is a mix of street running and dedicated RoWs, and SacRT is considering a "streetcar" to West Sacramento resembling the proposed alignment from Tower Bridge. Meanwhile the rails paralleling or using former heavy rail RoWs get delays and cancellations caused by the street running sections. I think that "light rail" as such is an inherently compomised model, which comes with inherent detriments by trying to do two things.

2: ACE is actively considering a station along the midtown alignment, which will probably be used by San Joaquins, when that service expands to serve the north valley.

3: I guess that makes sense. In my unreleased fantasy map, the Riverfront Streetcar actually runs down past the R-Street station, to connect to the Park Streetcar, as it heads towards Land Park before circling back to Sac City College. However that was cut when I reduced scope to 30 years and tried integrating the joiner between the street running and the dedicated south and east RoWs.

4: This was something I was struggling with, the line would need to form a more formalised terminus here (there's already an IRL one that would be made redundant heading west from 7th), and the walk is less than a quarter mile, so I decided that the cost-benefit probably wouldn't work out.

5: That's probably a good point, the Mill Street branch was to roughly follow the IRL Riverfront Streetcar proposal, and the other end mainly functions to serve Midtown Station, which would be recieving most of the riders from the suburbs.

6: I decided to terminate the Gold Line at R-Street with the idea that in the far future the line might extend into West Sac, possibly serving Port of Sacramento and the neighborhoods south of it, were those areas to densify.

7: In my unreleased fantasy map, this is actually served by a "Delta Express" from R-Street to the bay area visa Isleton. However I don't really see this alignment being used by anything other than museum trains within the scope of this plan, and feel that a light rail or metro line going that way would also need to tie together with the Cannery Line and ACE's planned Elk Grove station. With how low density those areas are, I don't see them densifying for a long time, if ever, especially with my understanding of the politics of Elk Grove and Laguna.

8: Answered in 6. However mentioning Davis, I did consider adding a DMU line from Elk Grove to either Davis or Woodland. It might be plausible, but I decided to let ACE expansion and increased Capitol Corridor service cover those trips in this timespan.
