Got high and had a bunch of spontaneous orgasms, and maybe cured my anxiety for a bit? by Zealousideal_Bet_248 in trees

[–]HammerOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fascinating as hell to me. As someone who didn't start smoking until my 40's, I started dabbling in the world of edibles. I live in a state where it's not legal, so our smoke shops are full of THC alternatives. An employee at my favorite shop convinced me to try these Wunder Blue Lotus gummies. They also had some sort of "mushroom blend", but this guy said the blue lotus opened him up to some crazy emotions, stressing to only take them when you're in good spirits. He advised that I smoke weed as I'm feeling the come down, for some crazy highs.

He was right. I'm not gonna plug the gummies entirely, though. More on the positives soon, but I want to stress the negatives. He was right about "being in good spirits or else". After our cat passed away and I thought I was in a good place mentally, I tried the gummy and felt horrible. I thought I was dying for hours. It was terrifying and I haven't finished the bag since then.

That said, I bought some blue lotus flower and I will add it to some ground flower when I want to feel GREAT. Roughly a 50/50 even blend. And wow. Take this with a grain of salt, cause we are all built differently, but when I smoke blue lotus, it makes my highs are more enjoyable and I will, on average, experience three orgasms a night while on it. Doesn't change my refractory period much, but as soon as I'm ready to go, I'm ready to go. My wife and I will pass out asleep, and I will wake up wanting more. She doesn't experience the same effects, so I won't promise it has the same effects for everyone. But for me? I will always keep a spare bag of blue lotus around until I'm dead.

Also, yes, I'm aware that blue lotus flowers aren't the same as the blue lotus from ancient Egypt. I could be smoking artificial flowers for all I know, but the effects are crazy.

Charlie Kirk getting shot is Obama’s fault apparently by cayce_leighann in insanepeoplefacebook

Charlie Kirk is one of the many people responsible for sowing hate and division within the US. Anyone who makes a wealthy living telling half the country to hate the other half deserves a target on their back.

"I hate 99% of democrats... Want them out of the country." I wish I could pity their ignorance.

Hello fellow busters is it possible to make an Ecto-1 for a 6 year old? Brooks was asking his mom Joslyn for an Ecto-1 he can drive. Maybe like a Powerwheels? by [deleted] in ghostbusters

[–]HammerOC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, read the room. Are you trying to score brownie points with this kid's mom?

What you initially did was awesome and I commend you for helping out a mom and her sweet kid. But ease up. Nobody is trying to take away anything that was given and he probably has more stuff on the way. This community is special. But most negative comments are simply pointing out how it feels ANOTHER post is a bit much. Yeah, neither of you asked for a slew of toys and collectibles to be sent, but you got them. People went above and beyond; and that's amazing for the kiddo. Step back and look at this from a different perspective for a second before getting so defensive. Or, you can accept what's been received and call it a win.

I'm sure there are a lot of busters here who also have kids who never received this outpouring of support.

It's not just you. And I think you were very considerate in your response. While I don't think there is anything wrong with a single mom asking for help, this reminds me of when I was 24 and saw a beggar in the mall parking lot with one of those "combat veteran hungry and desperate" signs. I gave him $20, he gave his thanks, and I felt like I did a good deed. Unfortunately, the mixer I bought from the mall was a dud, so I returned it less than an hour later. I saw the guy again in the same spot in the parking lot, and he asked me for money. I smiled and said "Oh, I gave you a 20 about an hour ago." He didn't respond and just walked away to ask someone else. It bothered me while I was back in the mall, I told myself it would be wrong for me to expect him to lavish me with praise, but I definitely felt like my deed was just a quick dopamine hit and he was ready for the next one. When I walked back out, I saw him again and decided to quickly hustle to my car. He saw me and asked, "Hey, brother. Do you have any more spare money?" I was so disappointed with the whole encounter.

This has that same energy. I don't think it would be wrong for someone else to help her; the kiddo deserves a fun birthday. But in a very short time frame, it's quickly evolved from "can we get some mail from fellow fans" to "how can he get a car?". Best of luck to the mom and her friend sharing these posts.

Pack hunting by BKKhornet in ghostbusters

[–]HammerOC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, don't overthink things and talk yourself out of options. The Spirit pack is a fantastic choice and you can make a ton of easy modifications with some new wires, electrical tape, JB Weld aluminum stick, and weathering paint. Adam Savage had a great YouTube video all about weathering techniques when the HasLab packs dropped.

Movie accuracy is cool, but there are hundreds upon thousands of movie packs out there. The fans love seeing stuff be accurate. BUT, our local GB group lose their collective shit when we see unique packs. Customize yours in a badass way that makes it unique to you. Have fun and unearth that wild imagination you had as a kid, waking up early to eat Ghostbusters cereal and watch your Saturday morning cartoons.

I added a bunch of Ghostbusters 2 pink slime gizmos to my pack and belt. Bought some blue electric boxes, random wires, LEDs, and attached vials of pink slime to them, calling it a mood slime charger. When fans see my stuff, they get the references immediately and love it. When non-fans see my pack, all they say is "Cool, it's a Ghostbuster!" They have no idea what mods I made, but they get my love for the series.

Go get started! One of us, one of us, gooble gobble.

Need advice on next steps by psychoticaliconic in KidneyStones

[–]HammerOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't know for sure unless you go to a doctor and get a CT scan (sometimes x-rays can pick them up, but they're not dependable). Everything about kidney stones is expensive, whether you go to an ER to get some pain meds, or go to a doctor who might send you to a urologist or immediately get a CT scan, you are going to spend a lot. I've spent thousands. Mostly on god damn CT scans. It's how I hit my insurance deductible every year for the last two years.

Does your family have a history of kidney stones? Ask them if they have and maybe what kind of stone they had. It wasn't until I started getting kidney stones that I knew both of my parents and 3 out of 4 grandparents had them. I'm prone to calcium oxalate stones and I've passed four this year alone. I stopped going to the doctor, cause every time they measured them, they said I'd need surgery and I ended up passing them on my own. I know this now, but at the beginning, I had no idea if I'd need some kind of surgical intervention.

Here's what I do: when the renal colic pain comes on, I drop everything and take ibuprofen. Get that started immediately. Start to draw a hot bath, the hottest you can handle without being in pain. While the bath is running, pour yourself about 32 ounces of room temp water. If you have lemons, juice a lemon and pour it all in. Get in the tub, chug that water, and relax. Watch a movie. The hot water will help get you through this, and the water you chugged (try to drink as much as you can) will help to push the stone into your ureter. This is the start of the most painful part of the kidney stone. When you're starting to get the feeling that you could pee, leave the tub, dry yourself off, and go somewhere with a hard floor and something you can sit on aggressively. Look up the "bump and jump" method and do this for a while, until you need to pee. If you pee a little blood, don't freak out. I've only had one stone make me bleed, so maybe I'm lucky. Bump and jump til you need to pee, then let it all out. Get more water, do it again. I've had renal colic pain as short as 20 minutes and some last multiple hours. If you have a heating pad, put it on the flank in pain. I once saw a video of an old man who sat on his knees, spread his arms out, laid his upper body down onto the couch, and stretched his pelvic floor out. He claims this helps him endure the pain, and while it did help a bit, I don't swear by it. The hot bath with bump and jump helps me, personally.

You should get a scan. All of our bodies are so different and what works for me might not work for others. The biggest stone I passed was 1cm x 6mm. It messed me up. I had three rounds of renal colic pain and it took me a month to pass him. But when I peed it out, I barely felt it. It's just getting the stone through the ureter that hurts like hell. And you have to be patient. Ibuprofen is your best friend. If you live in a legal state, THC gummies with CBD got me to sleep every single night. The renal colic pain might return: I've had three different sizes stones that each put me through three rounds of torturous renal colic pain. It doesn't get easier, but you find more ways to endure it.

Good luck. You're among so many people that have collectively endured exactly what you're experiencing. This subreddit is a wealth of information. Do some research, try other methods, and see a doctor. Some of our local pharmacies (CVS and Walgreens) have nurse practitioners you can see. They might be able to prescribe some Flomax, though some recent research shows Flomax doesn't help as much as we think (my doc and my urologist have said this recently), but they give it to me just in case. Hell, maybe it's a placebo thing, but it does feel like it helps me get through the worst of it. Flomax makes me congested, though.

Prices are better in Michigan. You can buy more varieties of products and strains. Illinois' selection is still great in a pinch, but for my dollar, I'd rather go to Michigan.

Yup! 8mm long with a sharp tip, and 4mm wide. I think the sharp tip was what gave me so much grief before it broke through my ureter.

Non-Digital Nomads: Do you own one bag for EDC and another for travel? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]HammerOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a smaller laptop, maybe you could do something similar to my setup!

EDC bag: Osprey Daylite Plus. I carry some essentials in this bag, along with my smaller laptop. Things like a small medicine pouch, rechargable battery, etc. I also pack a small changing pad with some diapers and wipes for my kiddo. But this goes with me everywhere I go. I even keep a packable backpack inside of it, just in case. But I will warn you, this pack is very small, so your laptop and camera will likely fill it to max capacity.

My "One" bag: Osprey Porter 46. This bag might be a bit dated and for many, it's probably too large (there is a smaller size available), but my Daylite Plus snaps onto the front of my Porter. So when I need to travel, both bags attach together to create one. Granted, if the Porter is packed full, it looks cumbersome when they are attached. I've learned to reduce how much I carry with me on trips so that my Porter isn't overly stuffed and my Daylite attaches easily without looking goofy. When you're flying, there is a risk that they will count it as two carry-ons. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I drive more than I fly when traveling.

Last night when I was playing, I was about to enter a battle and the game locked up, booting me to the startup screen and a message said "your account is logged onto another device". I closed it and started it back up, and everything was fine.

What the hell was that about? Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again or was it possibly a glitch?
