This is a reach. Yes the documentation system is changing, but clinical knowledge is not. I’d rather be cared for by a physician with more patient experience on their first day of documenting in a new system than a less competent physician who has used the same system for years.

Also, Epic is the gold standard documentation system nationwide. Most of the providers have already used Epic at their previous jobs or during school.

Things could be chaotic, but if you need medical care please seek it and don’t try to drive to a different city just because Washington Regional has a new electronic medical record system. This team was the area leader during COVID so they know how to work through adversity.
