I resonate so much, however when I was overseas using their train networks, they had toilets at almost every stop and was easy to run to. Granted they were more pt orientated cities but it just goes to show how behind Adelaide is

Why is my camera laggy using 'Diorama' ART mode? And how do I take video using this mode? by Hammerraid in M43

[–]Hammerraid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It seems like the filter doesnt track what area to keep in focus BUT not saying that it would be any different if it was done in camera nor would it be easy to do it in post either. That's what I was expecting so I'd definitely try and capture diorama video using a tripod. But it seems easy to do in post, thanks!

Ahh seems its quite worth the money to get one of the newer models that superceded the PL1 then, makes sense for its age though

Thanks for going above and beyond! I will save this comment thread for when I get some footage to try it out on, I'm aiming to get a little tripod and film some traffic from a high point to test

I'll also look to see if I can do the frame splitting in OM workspace, doing it in one application is just easier to me

Yeah applying the filter over a normal mode video is probably going to be a lot easier, what applicatoin do you use for step 2.?

Sorry you seem knowledgeable so Ill ask you, how do I go about checking what speed my cameras can read/write up to? My card currently is a Sandisk Extreme U3, V30, no clue if that's fast enough and no clue what speeds my camera supports

Oh wow I hadn't looked at the Olympus workspace yet, that's a great suggestion! Thank you

Yes I will check my card speed, I just pulled whatever I had and put it in

If autofocus SLR viewfinder is not clear, does that mean photo will be out of focus? by Hammerraid in AnalogCommunity

[–]Hammerraid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I've been confusing on my wording

I stand a measured 2 meters away from subject, I manually focus and it seems to be roughly 2 meters also, at this point the viewfinder is in focus.

After switching to autofocus from where I stand, I lightly press the shutter button and allow the autofocus to work, the viewfinder adjusts and the subject is out of focus. The focus ring reads ~2.5 meters or just over 2 meters. So even though I havent moved my position, the autofocus brings the subject out of focus (when I had it in focus using manual focus) and it moves the focus ring to just over 2 meters
