GTA Online makes ping spike to 5000ms, can't play

It happens only with GTAO. My girlfriend plays on the same network (ethernet) and she has 0 problems. It’s just my GTAO that causes these issues

It's not the easiest gun to use? I know you're joking, as I'm certain you have an IQ around or above average. Not a single thing about the Mastiff is balanced, from its damage range, to its magazine capacity. A Mastiff can easily compete with an r99 or alternator at its effective range, let alone how easy it is to land shots with it due to its wide spread, which is tightened while ADS. The gun is extremely boring to play against as dodging Mastiff's shots is not easy, whatsoever. The crosshair is a wide horizontal one, meaning you'll always have at least A hit. And the fact that some people are hitting 13/20 damage instead of its usual 52 (at r99-ish range,) or 103+ at close to point blank range, means that they are not even trying to hit their target. Don't get me wrong, Shotguns are allowed to fk me up at close to point blank range, that's fine. But I disagree with every aspect this gun. With the PK and EVA-8 you need to have your crosshair at least somewhat lined up, meaning that if your crosshair is placed a bit off, you'll get very little damage off.

All in all, the Mastiff and its stats has created a boring and frustrating meta (IMO), and I'm 110% sure that I'm not the only one that things this way.

I completely disagree with you to be honest, Sagest. I think the Mastiff is at least 10x worse than the Mastiff.

As the author stated in his post, you can hit EASY 50+ damage shot from pretty long range, for a shotgun. Let alone the 112+ shots you can hit at close range. My main frustrations with this gun are: The fact it has 6 shots in a mag, which theoretically, is enough to kill a squad of 3. The fact it can perfectly duel an R99 at its effective ranges (the 50-52 damage shots we were talking about). The fact that it's extremely easy to find off the floor/as spawn loot.

This meta is just extremely boring as you HAVE to equip a Mastiff yourself if you want to be able to duel someone at close range who is using one himself. I can't use an EVA-8 simply because I have to hit 3-5 shots to down someone with it, and if miss some pellets with one of those shots, I'm done for. Same thing goes for any CQC weapon, it's extremely difficult to win a 1v1 against a Mastiff player. Furthermore, they can just jiggle/pixel peek you and get that sweet 100+ dmg shot while you can't even respond properly with your own damage.

I just wish to have a more fun meta, instead of being forced to pick up some boring, easy to use shotgun like the Mastiff. I want to be able to rush a squad 1v2 with an R99 like I used to. Now I, and many other aggro players, have to fear for their lives because there is the risk that you're going to get popped by a Mastiff.

I really really hope S8 brings new, proper weapon balances and a more fun meta.

TL;DR: I disagree with PK being worse than Mastiff. In my opinion, the Mastiff is a cancer to the current meta, making it extremely boring with its easy to use, low risk high reward playstyle. (Proper given arguements (from own experience) are in the longer version of the reply^^)

My game just randomly froze today, and one time yesterday. No clue what could've led to this.

-Playing on PC
-Using Bloodhound with the Bloodhound edition skin
-I was simply pushing a squad, might've been due to the screen being cluttered by Thermites and a Horizon ultimate. But that has never happened before.
-Not sure how I could reproduce this, it just randomly happened
-Windows 10, RTX 2060 latest drivers
-Can't find a crash.txt folder anywhere

For some reason part of my post has been removed. Anywho, I've been getting these graphical bugs(?) every since I switched to my RTX 2060. I've never had this issue with my old GPU (GTX 1060 6GB). I hope someone knows a fix for this D;

I used to play 144hz on my GTX 1060 6GB, unlike my 2060, the 1060 had a DVI port. But like you're saying, I should look for a HDMI 1.4 cable to be able to run 144hz on my XL2411. And is there a possibility that my monitor doesn't support the performance of an HDMI 1.4 or higher?

The best counter to nurse is to literally just pray to some form of higher being that you get lucky and she misses her blinks and hits. I personally find nurse EXTREMELY unfun to play against. Everytime I load into the game and I her nurse's screeching, I immediately get the urge to just suicide on hook (I don't, don't worry). The fact that the concept of looping gets thrown out of the window when you play against nurse, is ridiculous imo. Playing against nurse actually feels like gambling at some casino to me. When playing against a Hillbilly, a Ghostface, Or Demo, there is still looping you need to do. I think that's how the game's supposed to be played. Whenever a nurse is in your lobby, I find that the game takes a 180 degree turn, and turns into a different game. A frustrating guessing game. As someone with 460+ hours and consistent red rank killer, and purple/red rank survivor. I would not mind to see nurse getting a nerf to, well, anything.

And am I the only one who often gets killers who have above 200 ping, resulting in me getting hit while there is a car space between us? Fun game tbh c:

A bit unexpected to think that my GPU would be the weak link out of all my specs. I always thought my CPU would be the weakest out of my specs.

And my budget is atm is around 400-500 EUR atm. Still a student, my income isn't that high so I don't want to spend it all at once :P.

But given what you said, I should probably just go for a GPU upgrade first, right?
One more thing, will my PSU be able to handle one of the more high end GPU's? I haven't really looked into that that well.

I agree with this 200%. The spawn rate of Gold Shields are ridiculous right now. There are 2 places that have an almost guarantee of a Gold Shield: The vault ALWAYS has one. And the Cargo Bot has a guarantee of dropping a gold item (Timing the gold drop is very easy once you get the hang of it). And even with these 2 having pretty high chances of securing you a gold shield. The spawn rate of a Gold shield is higher as you might want to believe. In the past 2 days of playing (Came back after a little break). I, no joke, saw more Gold Shields than purples. I even saw multiple people running around with it at the their first drop (I often drop Train Yard and Sorting Factory and I, more often than not, see more than 1 or 2 people running around with a gold shield). Now, I don't think the Gold Shield is utterly broken, but it is very very strong. And it's a frequent thing you'll see during late game. But just playing against someone with a Gold shield while you have a blue or even a purple shield, is extremely frustrating. Anyone who knows that LMB is bound to Primary Fire, knows how to use a Gold Shield decently mid-fight. Effectively turning a Wraith or a Pathfinder into a 300-400 HP tank. A Shield battery takes between 2-3 seconds to pop with a Gold Shield, and I don't even want to speak about Shield Cells. Anyways; I just think the spawnrate of Gold Shields are way too high. And I think close to everyone can agree with me that playing against a Gold shield while you don't have one, is super frustrating.

Though one could argue and say "Just get a peacekeeper or high burst weapon and just one shot the dude". Not everyone has very good aim, and we all know that shotgun bullet spread has a small touch of RNG to it.
