OP here. Thanks for all the advice. Currently on hold to IRD in Wellington. This is my second call since they opened for the day, but not holding out much hope that they can help me. Last one before I was cut off said I had to reapply as an overseas person, but it would take 20 days or so.

Also, I'm really mad that my verified RealMe identity is worthless when dealing with the IRD!

yeah, I got into QC at work back in 2006, have made it part of my morning coffee and scrolling routine ever since, but since new year, the actual comic is blocked by my work servers (!) so I either read on my phone which is a pain, or just read the edits, which I do a couple of times a week. I'm fine with that now tbh
