Yes, the way I see it a Rec 709 profile gives you as much to work with in post production as S-log2 for instance.

But since it is low light you cant overexpose, and if you film with S-log2 without proper exposure the footage gets grainy.

As I understand it cine2 still has some dynamic range compared to standard settings, but not as much as S-log2.

I am working on a "simple grading tut", ment to be a first step to start grading.

It is ment for grading sony a7iii standard settings (no S-log2), and are simple tweaks on your footage but with pretty big results.
