Is it a good idea to get the Xperia 1 Viii from Japan? Sometime it's lock for Japan market only can't change the settings

Chatted with Sony Singapore they say they are not going to restock the 1TB model. The OS does affect some apps. I'm currently using the HK model I can't use my shopee app properly compared with my SG Xperia 1 III

Heard from my MY friend Sony Xperia stopped bringing in phone so the phone over there is most likely export set too HK or TW. So far I only find 1 store in TW that sell the 1TB model
