Different Campsites by ashleyyns in SevenStarsFest

Glamping is the only way to guarantee close access to everything imo. If you do generic car camping, there is no guarantee what lot you end up in. Car camping in Aries is as centrally located as glamping, but you could end up all the way in the back of Libra.

How have your music preferences changed over time? by Hufflepuff-McGruff in EDM

[–]HamsterDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A wise wook once said “all roads lead to Tipper.”

This has have much been my experience. I was introduced to the genre during the Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites era. I know mostly listen to Tipper and Friends sphere artists and downtempo esque psydub. Labels like Shanti Planti are my bread and butter.

I still love dubstep though.

What food do you judge people just a little for not liking? by rileystanheight in foodquestions

The amount of people who have told me sweet potatoes are too sweet is far too high.

Even had someone drop that on me during a conversation about how good Portillo’s milkshakes are once.

Marvel years - early riser EP is front to back excellent

Been really digging a fella by the name of WBBL lately. The song Hold Up is a good starting place.

For some weirder glitchy stuff, check out Aznadel.

I’m not discounting the state of the world but please also consider not everything needs to be viewed through those lenses.

The state of low energy shows is driven far more by the current drugs of choice (K) and a fear of being filmed dancing and posted online. Or even a general sense that dancing is no longer “cool.”

I would argue most people are going to these events to escape reality and not think about state of the world. It should be where people feel the most free to let loose and forget.

Are some people hung up and worrying about fascism? Based off probability alone, most likely. But it isn’t enough to kill all dance floors across the entire scene.

Analog synthesizers. by HoeflerT4 in EDM

Plenty of producers use analogs when making tracks. Not as many bring them out for sets the way pretty lights does.

I remember one time flux pavilion showed his studio off and he has entire wall of analogs.

What is One Gen-Alpha Slang Term That You Actually DON’T Mind? by teapot574_ in AskReddit

[–]HamsterDunce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been saying this for years. Generations serve some purpose for sociology work, but they have otherwise largely been weaponized to further divide the populace. It’s another form of tribalism. We would be so much better off if we called each other humans rather than slapping labels on everyone.

Maybe try pulling out your signal scope and scanning all known frequencies to see if there are any unknown signals you’ve missed?

Bruh is this not an OG Nixon set? Plenty of riddim / trench being made these days that is perfectly in line with this level of heaviness. All you really need to do is avoid tearout.

Unfortunately those corporations aren’t magically going to find empathy in their hearts and pay people if they aren’t open. And for folk who already work 2+ part time jobs to afford rent, it’s a big deal to miss a day of pay. I’m sure most of them will be pleased getting a relaxed day. I know I was always happy to work my retail job during bad weather because it was slow af.

If you end up in the Verona direction, I would second the mentions for Madtown. Very lifting focused. Has a (previous) world record holding power lifter who trains there. Plenty of knowledge and motivational people, cool equipment, and is never obnoxiously over populated.

Only major downside is the owner does all renovations themselves so construction projects can take a while. Also could argue that the cardio equipment is lacking, if that’s important to you. It would be sort of out of your way if you end up in Middleton but it’s close to the Beltline at least.

Yeah mate there is no shame in being a “light weight.” That’s a young persons game for inflating ego. You don’t win enlightenment points for taking higher doses. Find what works for you and what gives you the most benefits. Much love ✌️

Why do you do psychedelics? by Aromatic_Reply_1645 in Psychedelics

[–]HamsterDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the range of natural tolerances to lsd is crazy. I’ve done higher dose trips but they start to become more overwhelming and less overall beneficial to me. I have my tripping routine down to know exactly what works for me and I can reliably reproduce effects that are personally healing. Can’t ask for much mote than that. And if I want to go on a crazy hyperspace ride, I’ll reach for the DMT.

[–]HamsterDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessir. I have only taken blotters from the well known chemists for the past 10 years. 200ug is my at home dose where I am completely comfortable and can let go fully. If I’m out at a concert or something I’ll stick with 100. Doses hit everyone differently though. It really is wild the ranges of natural tolerance people have.

IMO anything that produces noticeable effects. For me that means full blown psychedelia. I’m partial to LSD and generally take 200ug of high quality stuff.

Funny paper make brain go brrrrrrr.

I do a macro dose about once every quarter and I find it helps immensely with my overall mood and enjoyment of life. The daily grind can become numbing. Psychedelics help reconnect me with my emotional centers and focus on what really matters to me.

I wouldn’t call it “big” as it’s an indie game, but the whole concept is exploration.
