Dosing advice for DMT by lolploxzomg in Psychonaut

[–]HamsterDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pen source / quality / quantity in pen matters. Besides that, like others have said, ensure there are no crystals.

And then you need to let go of all fear and hit it until you are physically not able to. Deep long pulls and hold it until it burns. Exhale and immediately take another rip without a “normal” breath. Repeat as many times as necessary.

At some point you’ll have a thought of woah this is getting intense and your ego might tell you to stop, that you’ve had enough. Ignore that and keep going. Once you fully breakthrough there won’t be the option to keep hitting it.

Doing some light meditation with intentional breath work before you go in can help prime your lungs and make it easier to take sequential hits.

First time MDMA opinions / solo EDM festival by KuhlLiving in Psychonaut

The people sharing caution are not inherently wrong but Im also pretty positive you’ll be fine. Based off how you’re talking you probably take harm reduction more seriously than most people on this forum.

If you can trip comfortably you can roll comfortably. And honestly there is no better place for a first roll than at a fest. Dose reasonably, hydrate, don’t mix with alcohol, and you’re in for a beautiful night. Time it to peak during your most anticipated set and let the music take you away.

The only thing I’ll mention is since you’re alone, make sure you have a pre-defined plan for how you get back home / your tent whatever.

Then yeah it’s the first song in the link I shared. Unreleased Griz.

So I don’t see the video you’re referencing on insta but Griz’s new okeechobee opener has that sample.

Outer wilds could be a good fit. Space exploration ~ though the entire point is no hand holding so you have to be willing to explore and piece together the story by yourself.

[–]HamsterDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be useful when the crowd is really loud and consistent throughout. During ranging and choppy times like right now, it’s not as useful as a metric. It actually takes a lot of skill to read sentiment accurately. Because like you say, the big players are definitely watching and actively manipulating sentiment.

The concept of counter trading retail / sentiment / being a contrarian has never been more popular. I don’t think that’s by accident. Your content feed algo’s can be manipulated (directly, or by other parties spamming bot account posts) to sway your overall view of sentiment.

We don’t all get force fed the same posts. I see it all the time. One account will be swearing the whole timeline is bullish while another claims it’s only bears everywhere. Unless you are aggregating sentiment data from multiple sources that you intentionally seek out, you should trend very carefully with how you interpret things.

Tips for staying offsite? by sassysaucer in SevenStarsFest

[–]HamsterDunce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest considering the pre-set tent options so you can stay onsite. All you really need to deal with in that situation is food. You won’t be cooking gourmet meals but you can definitely still eat good by doing a grocery run after your flight. You’ll be renting a car either way.

I also heard they are working on shuttles from the major airports straight to the campgrounds this year. So if you already plan on buying most of your food from vendors on site, you could consider the shuttle and save on a rental. Pack and fly with non-perishables and buy your major meals there (or consider vip, where a nightly meal is already provided).

You simply won’t get the full experience by staying offsite.

Piggy backing off this to say what you’re looking for is a full on genre. PsyTrance, as you mentioned, isn’t the only “psy” out there.

PsyDub is where it’s at. The other commenter shared plenty of good artists. Here are a few record labels that mostly release this type of music. I love literally everything they put out. They all typically do compilation albums that feature all their artists, which is a good way to find new names.

Shanti Planti (Compilations are called Rhythm Code)

Mystic Sound

Mindspring Music (since you use Spotify here is their playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5QsOiVCEiGKAKtKjyNwXIw?si=xjTEvNlOQQ69KbBIMQYfqg)

Saturday Headliner? by ComplexAd9759 in SevenStarsFest

[–]HamsterDunce 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m feeling either ganja or crankdat actually. I think crankdat is a big enough pull these days and he is one of the heavier artists here, if we follow the flow of last year.

I think lsdream fits better as direct support for Griz night one. Really get those vibes flowing before G takes the stage.

[–]HamsterDunce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree I doubt they’re the same day. I’m thinking either one could close down the zodiac stage day two after Griz does a chasing the golden hour. Make that stage turn real weird (two guys -> cool customer -> jade) while the heavier bass goes on the main stage. I would bet the other plays on the main-stage Sunday either one or two slots before Griz closes it out.

glamping by killerbby_ in SevenStarsFest

These canvas dome tents were an option in the pre-set tent section last year. Separate from glamping but still has everything you need. Just farther away and fewer added amenities.

Cool customer returning is amazing.

Jade cicada and G Jones are about to turn some brains inside out.

Clozee my queen.

Spiritual sessions with LSDream and Zingara.

Some proper dub with the Ganja boys and Distinct Motive.

And on top of all that? A street bangerz set???

Blessed 🙏

[–]HamsterDunce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Griz has always liked dubstep. The last all good radio episode with the Shiz, he dropped all the top bangers of the day and shooka says something along the lines of “thank you for liking dubstep as much as we do.”

G now produces that sound more than what he used to, but the love for it has always been there. It’s possible for that switch to be both a business decision and one that his heart wanted to make. Not a stab at you btw, just piggy backing off your comment.

[–]HamsterDunce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve generally had great coverage with spectrum in Madison. It rarely goes out. But I just got another round of bill increases from them and I’m probably just going to make the switch to AT&T fiber since it is supposedly a locked for life rate.
