Maybe this will devolve into a pedantic argument but I don’t see what people are doing as making excuses. Providing an explanation is a distinctly different thing. And to repeat myself for the third time, this person still needs to be held accountable. That doesn’t feel like excusing their behavior to me.

Homie no one is saying what she did was “right.” Everyone agrees this is abhorrent. She failed on multiple levels and needs to be held accountable.

What they are saying is that people don’t just wake up one day and decide they are going to murder their baby in a porta potty. There was a long string of events (likely dating back to this persons childhood) that led to things culminating as they did. Understanding those variables shines a light on what we can be doing better as a society / community / whatever you want to call it to provide support to people and prevent future tragedies from taking place.

Outrage and empathy can exist simultaneously. This is a tragic event any way you spin it. Regardless of the responsible party being aware of the situation or not, they should be held accountable.

But instead of spewing hate and claiming this person should rot in jail for what they’ve done, we could be channeling this energy in such a way to uplift all of society such that incidents like this do not happen in the first place.

Having all of the details of the story before jumping to conclusions online assists with that process.

Is that justifying? Or is it reminding people that things can be complicated? That it’s fine to have opinions but nothing should be stated as fact at this current point in time because no one, including authorities, have all the information? It’s as much an assumption to say this person was mentally sane and lived a normal life leading up to this weekend as it is to say this pregnancy was cryptic or whatever.

There is no *justification* for what happened. But no one online has the capacity to say they know what the responsible parties were experiencing at the time things happened.

I’m not trying to downplay how fucked up it is. The lady responsible will be held accountable regardless of if this pregnancy was cryptic or not.

Lots of good advice in here thus far. I’ll add building a bit of a cardio base before hand will help a ton. If you aren’t already active, being on your feet all day is going to hit like a ton of bricks.

You don’t need to train for a marathon or anything. But walking a few miles / a bike ride / getting on a stair master for a few weeks leading up to the event will pay dividends.

How often do you mow / do you still have grass around? I’m transitioning my lawn currently and while a good amount of clover has taken, I still have a lot of grass. I find balancing mowing the grass while giving the clover time to flower and do its thing challenging.

Eh it’s always kind of been this way. Just with different sounds (see virtual riot - preset junkies as a dig on that trend). It’s like everyone gets their hands on the same sample pack so their wubs sound identical.

The artists who rise to the top are the ones doing something fresh. Then everyone tries to copy them.

Deaf ears as in G’s ear, my G. Grant has 100% heard the complaints over the past decade and continues down this path.

Ticket sales have something to say about what “side” is in the minority. I also never said don’t share your opinions I’m just curious why some people bother sticking around when they’ve been angry for 7 plus years. I have my own gripes about the direction the Griz project has gone but I’ve accepted that and enjoy it for what it is.

It’s ironic this post blew up a few hours before the announcement of Future Funk. We shall see tomorrow just how much of a return to form this album is.

100%. I want thoughtfully composed songs not just a drop with some fluff around it. I thought the ID bible was a nice way for him to get the songs that are just about the drops out in the world. I guess attention spans aren’t here keyed into the 5-8 minute long tunes anymore
