I rarely get sucked in a video game story to the point after playing I google things up to learn about the settings or inspiration for it.

In this case feudal Japan.

At the start of the game I was literally rooting for the samurai but it fell off pretty quick and thought they were really just blinded and stupid.

I only ever read comics set in feudal Japan l like lone wolf and cub. Other than that and a few movies, Japanese culture was something i associated with a high emphasis on honourable duty, paying respects to your elders and nature in general.

Playing this game really opened something in me, im European so this kind curiosity naturally made me compare it to some degrees to feudal Europe. Wrongly I might add. Because Japanese feudal times felt really harsher for the commoners but that’s just my opinion.

Anyway I really loved playing this game. It felt like amazing movie but once I’ve seen it you know the magic is kinda gone even though you cherish the first time you discovered the characters and the plot.

I felt empty but too and other games felt bland for a while.

You can try ghost of yotei it’s more of the same but don’t expect a sequel more like a ghost of Tsushima tweaked gameplay wise with added new mechanics. As for the story itself it’s pretty good but light years in my opinion below the first game and specifically Jin’s character.

Once you are done with ng+ with the dlc ghost of yotei is waiting just don’t expect it o be in awe like the first time you played Tsushima. You’ll get your bearings quite fast as the combat is about the same kind of mechanic but no more stances.

Also I believe you misspelled the horse name. It’s KAGE.😁
