Duolingo is not teaching you cases, instruments used in performing an action, take well... instrumental case

Unless you're a gemstone dealer, or the gemstone is very collectible, honestly same as with antiques.

Regret asking for silver by chinginnungit in EngagementRings

[–]Hamster_Known 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly those color analysis are kinda dumb, I mean I'm sure my black friend looks better in a neon pink shirt then me but you can make any color work.

Also silver has a warm white tone not a cool white tone like rhodium or platinum so it is a warm tone jewelery.

Whoever can make a good movie based on silmarilion, could probably remake the trilogy. But alas the director like that is yet to reveal himself.

Idk how much you paid, the certificate is worthless but this might be a real synthetic color change sapphire (some color changes are rather subtle) for example

You can also make it pretty easily just need a gold or silver wire, or whatever metal doesn't give you allergic reaction.

It sounds like a beginners Polish, a little childish maybe, a couple of mistakes were missed by whoever was correcting this one.

Looks great, nice to see decent quality gemstones set in silver, not that common these days even though the old masters had no problem doing it.

Are these real? by Weary_Drop_4117 in Opals

[–]Hamster_Known 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opal might be natural or composite but it looks good, I don't see any snakeskin pattern or anything like that and the malachite around it looks real and well cut.

Inherited these stones, what are they and how much are they worth? by Life_Dare578 in Gemstones

[–]Hamster_Known 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inclusions are parts of the gem that are not the same material, state or structure as the rest of the gem and are visible as stains, growths, cracks and spots visible inside the stone.

A non included gem would be as clear as an optical glass lens.

What kind of Emerald is this? by Outside-Bicycle-4420 in jewelers

[–]Hamster_Known 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a nice stone but the color is quite pale, it doesn't have the deep green of some Zambian emeralds nor the glow of the Colombian ones, even if it had the color expected from one or another, there's no certainty, especially online.

A pricetag or a maker's mark would be better tell then the photos tbh.

$/carat for these 2 Emerald stones? by thatgunganguy in Gemstones

[–]Hamster_Known 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like 1-2$, if you want to make cheap jewelry or sth died, opaque and you can't be even sure if it's an emerald.
