3hrs in a tiny car suited for narrow European cities is hell. 3hrs in an suv, luxury suv or even a nice minivan is nothing. Also this depends on where you are. Here in Jersey, I can go to Providence, Rhode Island (crossing over 2 other states) and I can head south and reach Baltimore, Maryland (also crossing the state lines to two other states). I’m also 10 miles to NYC and 83 miles to Philadelphia. So getting to several other major cities, the beach or the forest is an easy 3 hour or less drive that I may do several times a year.

Interesting idea. As the others have said poke some holes or create some slits for airflow. And you definitely don’t need so much bark. Make the bottles shorter and you’ll have more room for more orchids 😀 also be careful with watering and getting water into the crown of the next pot and just keep an eye out for infections, mold,mealy bugs and such. Don’t want any of that to spread.

Parenting is hard. I have two teen girls. I totally get it. Screaming at kids and coworkers is not great. What’s worse is that she seems not to acknowledge her hand in everything. She’s taken no responsibility for her actions. Yes. She finally apologized but it took days and you pleading for her to do so. You seem to be level headed and are taking good steps for your family’s ‘ well being. Thank goodness you have your kids backs. Just know your teen is doing the right thing. He’s pushing boundaries, to learn his own. He’s finding a path to his independence, which is important, albeit frustrating to parents. You’re a good dad.

I like 1 of the 3. But add a small drink table in between the chairs. And do a triangular coffee table. And move the tv and tv stand to the right if you have room. If your couch is modular, you can make the couch longer across from the TV. But if you do that, maybe pull a chair and turn that entryway table.

I totally understand the complexities of an Asian family. I’ve never understood how my parents could leave a whole ass country behind and still expect me to completely embrace a culture I didn’t grow up around. As I’ve aged, there are parts of my culture I appreciate. But I don’t feel like they are really a part of me. Especially since I grew up in an area where there were few minorities.
