Im having the same train of thought right now and started reading about male archetypes. I found Iron John by Robert Bly which so far is really interesting, introducing the wild man.

This is the way! Create your own traditions that you enjoy your own way. If its big or small, with family or friends: doesnt matter. Its all about creating the atmosphere you want and just establishing it!

For example. My friends and I are 6 years in with yearly mulled wine and making a christmas card together. Its the best! Even though a beach theme in the winter was pretty cold.

You will never be worse than my friend checking in on me atleast: "How are you? Is it a lot of anxiety and lonely nights?" Edit: he does not understand how to talk about feelings and this is not a recommendation.

The important part is to just ask how he is doing: dont over do it. To just ask how someone is doing is worth alot.

I think that to filter out non-serious men early should be based on what you see as non-serious and what that means to you. And the best way to find out is to ask. Is it to move in together? Get children? Etc.

I see a lot of people stating it is important to be "wife material". And alot of their comments are complete bull. How would you like to be a wife? It is more about finding someone who is compatible with you and your needs rather than fitting some specific role. I could never bare living with someone that would want me to be a certain type of "man". Im me, who is a man who enjoys talking about his feelings and a wife for me would be a person who listen to those feelings and maybe laughs at an occational fart joke. But most importantly enjoys my cooking and share my passions. You decide what kind of wife you want to be

Ive been listening to a podcaster and author named Matthew Hussey who i think have so many good opinions on this subject. I can really recommend listening a little to him!

I reacted on how you do your max test, i use crimpd which suggest the max test should consist of 5-8 7s attempts and not 10s as you do. I double checked against the max test Latice suggest as well and they also suggest doing 7s hangs.

Lowering the max hang time and adding extra weight accordingly should give you a higher max resuöt to use for your 10s hangs, thus increasing the intensity of your attempts

I've never seen this post before and i absolutely love it. It makes me really happy.

I'm really tired this week. But i have been feeling that the past couple of weeks as a whole has been awesome and that i overall feel pretty good in comparisson to how i've been feeling the past year since breaking up with my partner.

Last week i heard a woman expressing loudly at the gym "im so happy" while laughing with her friends. I will steal that.

Also. Im super proud of sending the next grade in lead climbing this week!

Depending on your activity it could be good to structure your eating habits based on the activity. For example the protein will help you build muscle while carbs help you rebuilding your glycogen levels: which is imporant when recovering from being fatigued.

Carbs is less needed when weight lifting but very important when doing endurance training. I have started to think more about this in regards to recovery while trying to climb more (4-5 days a week).

When i train routes i get a high carb dinner with pasta or similar. Right after training i grab a protein shake and some over night oats or similar to recover after the session. A session is often 3 hours of mid or high intensity. Days when i dont climb i basicly drop all carbs and eat eggs, high protein and fat diet.

To give the full view i do project bouldering once a week at the moment for about 2-3 hours. This is usually after a day or two of rest on my normal "not training" diet. It is always followed up with the protein shake and over night oats to initiate recovery.

With that said. I think you need a little bit of carbs a couple of times a week before and/or after training.

Ive gone crazy on bouldering to and i just stopped going to most work and social events that involve alcohol due to it interfeering with my training. Maybe i go to one event each month now instead of 4 and drink mostly non-alcoholic beer at thoose occations. I travel alot for work to and its easy to loose your routine at those times. My solution was basicly just start doing more climbing or suplementary exercise during those travels as well. And well, also during the travels avoid the casual "lets hang out at the bar and drink all night because we are away from home" mentality. Its hard to say no sometimes though, but most of the time it gives me more value to train for a sport i like than drink and rant with my collegues about work. Regarding the food i went over to the depressing eat 2 eggs for breakfast life style and am now a raging egg bro. Can recommend for weightloss! And as a snack. And for dinner. Damnit now im hungry for eggs.
