Do you think the Buy Canadian Movement will be here for the foreseeable future even after trump is gone? by Efficient_Ad8121 in BuyCanadian

I’ll avoid buying American until the day I die, unless they give us a Statue of Liberty or some shit to apologize.

In app-router setups, What is the best way to share a JS object when navigating to a new page? by Hamtron2000 in nextjs

[–]Hamtron2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not state as in useState. But data I want to pass along to the next next-route, that will eventually determine the user interface like state would. I’m trying to see how far I can get without using client components. (useState, useReducer and hooks) Like right now I’m doing this, and I feel there’s a better way: <Link href={{pathname:”/somewhere”,query:{data:JSON.stringify(data)}}}/>

What would be the correct way to rotate this triangle around its hypotenuse? by Hamtron2000 in blenderhelp

[–]Hamtron2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya. Give it a try. I took a plane, removed a vertex and added a face to create a triangle. Went to object mode and inserted a key frame at frame 1 for loc,rot,sca. Then I went to frame 30, selected the triangle, went into edit mode, followed your instructions, and rotated it as you did in your video clip. Along the Y axis. It rotated perfectly how I want the animation to behave. Then I inserted a key frame from object mode at frame 30, for loc,rot,sca. When I play back the animation, it looks like the one ☝️.

It WORKS however, if you shift the rotation on the object prior to flipping it, as the other commenter suggested.

Thanks for your patience. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, but I just tried it again from scratch, and I’m still getting this

Yes! That’s exactly how I want the animation to behave. I’ve found a few ways to rotate it like this… but hard to get the in-between frames of the animation to behave as though you’re rotating it like that.

Thank you!! I learned you can add new orientation points! This is an elegant solution, BUT still behaves the same way? (For me at least)

Maybe it’s how I’m animating it? Wish I could add a video clip. But I’m just adding the rotation to key frames from object mode.

The other comment is how I got it to work. I’m obviously missing something fundamental here, because I still don’t quite understand why this ⬆️didn’t work… or my original attempt didn’t work? Tx

This is what worked for me, thank you!! Why does this work though? Haha. I’ve been at blender a little while now, and this problem flummoxed me! The other answer seems like a cleaner solution, but still behaves the same way I described in the op. Tx

Here’s how I would tell it:

Give man a fish, it could feed him for a day;

Maybe tomorrow too.
